I've been to them all and I went with Penn State. The worst problem is the small number of entrance gates (they have about the same number of gates as TSUN's place has men's rooms). :tongue2:
It's amazing that TSUN's place held more people than Beaver Stadium last year, which looks huge compared to TSUN's place sitting in the somewhat natural bowl. And I'm factoring in the sqeezed-in seats up north.
I said last year since the renovations will reduce TSUN's capacaity to 106,201 (less than Beaver Stadium) until they are complete in 2010. Then TSUN may again have the largest stadium.
I would have voted Wiscy's Camp Randall second after Penn State.

I work on my hair a long time and you hit it.
Penn State's stadium an awful building. Scaffolding with seats, I'm glad we play them at night.
PS student section is loud during the first quarter, then pass out or go back to their tailgate. Nice town, but a terrible stadium.
Michigan State has a good looking stadium, I've never been there on game day.
The Metrodome looks bad on TV, looks worse in HD.

Indiana. Cheap, plentiful tickets and a short drive from Ohio.
There's also the matter of the obscene numbers OSU puts up on IU. Lydell Ross' numbers, Ted Ginn finally throwing a pass (albeit at home, but the pattern works), Ted Ginn housing two returns including his greatest ever (in skill), imo (KR).

I went on stadium character alone, not noise. Thus I chose Wisconsin. I love the fact that its history revolves around a military camp going back to the Civil War.
Illinois would have been my second choice; I like the columns on the side of the stadium.
Then Iowa and its new brick renovation.
Then PSU based on size alone. But it is an erector set on steroids.
The rest are all just a mix except for the worst stadium.... Metrodome in MPLS which I am viewing as I type.

Kinda surprised no one likes Illinois. Always looked like a cool stadium on TV. Of course it might suck ass in person.

My friend's uncle is involved with the promotional photography for IU. According to him, whenever they take aerial pics of Memorial Stadium, it's the OSU game. It's the only time the stadium is filled to capacity with everyone wearing red. Probably more Scarlet than crimson, but from 1,000 feet or so, it all blends together. I also heard a story about Buckeye fans tearing down the goalposts in Blomington, but I can't recall the year.

Wisconsin.... I've been to most of the Big Ten Stadiums and their fans were good sports.... (most of them at least)... Its a nice stadium too but damn it gets loud there.... nothing compared to the Horseshoe though.

I'm going with Northwestern. Not because of the stadium atmosphere, but because its in the Chi, so there's plenty of stuff to do before and after the game. Lots of bars and clubs in the area (gotta visit McGee's!), plus the campus is nice. Tickets are cheap, and we usually take over their place anyway. All in all, a good road trip.
