That was in 96 when they clinched the Rose Bowl.

I was in the stands laughing my ass off.

Edit: YouTube to the rescue (@ :25)

YouTube - Buckeyes React to Clinching 1997 Rose Bowl

Whats up with Ryan Millers mini-mullet in that clip?

I voted PSU just because at night in a sea of white tee shirts, its hard pressed to beat. Would have voted Camp Randall if at certain views it didnt look too much like our stadium: http://www.collegecharlie.com/files/wisstadium.jpg

Purdue had a pretty sweet tailgating setup. Stadium was right there in the middle of campus it seemed. Decent enough scoreboard for replays. And you get to watch the douchebags bang that big drum everytime they get a first down, even when they're down 23-0.

i have only been to 2 road games. 2000 at wisconsin (osu 23-7) and 2001 at state penn (forgot the score since we blew a 27-9 3rd quarter lead ) but i voted for state penn. just everything about the area/stadium gave it a cool vibe that i feel gives it an edge over wisky. now if we were voting on fans id say that both those schools fanbases are filled with drunken maroons.

Penn State or Wisconsin... It's a toss up... Been to almost all the stadiums in the Big 10 and these two are by far the best experiences. If you're a big fan of aesthetics, Wisconsin wins in a landslide. Beaver Stadium is the loudest stadium I've ever sat in. I'm going with Beaver.

I went with Camp Randall. Penn State is intimidating on the inside, but around the stadium there is nothing. Plus, buying beer in PA is an awful experience.

I lived about 2 blocks from Camp Randall the year after I graduated from OSU, and the stadium is nice and the fans are nuts. Best renditions of the wave you'll ever see.

I've been to East Lansing 3 times, and enjoy it every time. The one thing most other schools have that we don't is a dedicated student section. Block O is a joke compared to putting 20-30,000 drunk college kids together.

If Gene Smith would ever get his act together OSU would have the biggest student section in the country.

Too expensive. Giving discount tickets to students that alums would buy at three times the price makes no business sense I would guess.

BUT, where would you rather play an away game than Bloomington? Non-exsistent fan base, cheap tickets between the 30s, lost there just once in what, 50 years?

Well designed stadium, ample parking, unlike Ross - Ayde you can get in and out to take a pee (that's important for we 'more experienced' fellows).

...

They have very recently changed their policies to ensure that students who want tickets get them.

But this still doesn't address the issue.

If they put all of the students together, the effect would be tremendous. They're probably afraid of some of the consequences of putting that many drunken students together.

Not even talking about changing the number of student tickets. Just saying they should consolidate them into one area. Start with the entire south stands and work your way across the other side of the OSU tunnel.

I would say that the south endzone is pretty much all students. Was stuck there 2 years in a row (even though I'm a senior!?). They're decent seats only if they were on our side of the 50.

Anyway, I agree. Too many students are placed anywhere and everywhere outside of the south endzone.
