Ughhh....the safety play absolutely sucked. The Bengals should not have blitzed as much, and kept more guys back in coverage to help out a little bit. They did a better job against James than I expected. It was great to see the offense rise to the challenge. With another solid draft/free agent class, and Madieu Williams back the Bengals D should be improved next year...... Palmer might have the best arm in the league,IMO......Chris Perry was absolutely sick in the 2nd half, again, he is basically playing his rookie year....if a stud DT or DE is not available when the Bengals draft, they should consider drafting Leonard Pope, the TE from Georgia in the 1st round, he would give them a consistent option over the middle, and free up Houshmanzadah...

This thing I found interesting, is that the Bengals look very much like the Colts of about 3-4 years ago. Great D, but no O.

We have TJ, Chad, Roooodie, Carson all locked up for 4-5 years. Now all we need is a couple of 350 lb'rs to plug up the middle and some DB's that can cover and tackle. That new guy just is fucking awful.

I agree, we are a year or two away from the SB. But it is looking good!

WHO DEY!

The Tight ends destroyed the bengals on Indy. That game was Awesome and the Bengals are not the old Bengals, out gained them in yards and look at the points both teams put up.

Cincy will be there in the Playoffs

You mean great O but no D, right? The Bengals were playing the best offense in the NFL IMHO. So...even though they looked bad on defense, I don't think they are the worst...just not good enough for a championship. Relying on offense can't win you all your games, but it'll get you to the playoffs. So I agree...they look like the past Colts. Or maybe the Cheifs in the past. But definitely have a lot of things going their way.

Yes that is what I meant, my bad.

The paralells are very strong between Indy and Cincy. Marvin is like Tony D in many ways both on and off the field.. Carson and Palmer. Chad and Marvin.

I also like that none of the team were happy with the game. Good to see that close does not count anymore.

We are still a year or 2 away from being one of the top 2 teams in the NFL. We would loose to Pitts and Indy more time than not IMO.

One thing the Colts cannot take away from the game yesterday is any great sense of comfort in their overall team balance.

Early this year they were winning with what seemed like an improved Defense.

Last night they won a shoot-out plain and simple - an away game for sure - but a shoot-out none the less.

As badly as the Bengals probably feel about their defensive performance against a masterful performance by Manning, I doubt Dungy and his boys on D are happy at all. Palmer and Rudy and Chad and Henry and TJ and Perry gave them everything they had, damn near more than they could handle.

Any other top class team in the AFC looking at yesterday's game film was surely taking notes on how to tear into the Colts. Think Bellichick has a woody thinking about how to take them down - again - with a better defense, and tighter ball control? Think Cowher wouldn't salivate at the chance to defend 35 points with an even stingier defense and better ball control offense against these same presently undefeated Colts come time for the play-offs?
