Bengals(-6.5) at Browns

I hope the D Coord. is fired for that performance... That was BAD. To think that the defense can play that bad and the Bengals manage to only lose by 6 is the only optimistic thing to take away from this game. UGH, I'm glad I have Ohio State to turn to! LOL

The Browns almost lost a sure-win. If they lost, it was going to be Romeo's fault.

Who the hell passes on second down inside the five, when you're up by 10? He throws an incompletion, clock stops, and they end up kicking a field goal. If he had run it, and not scored a touchdown, at least the clock keeps running. Or, at worst, the Bengals have to waste a time-out.

There was another play later when the Browns should have run the ball, in my opinion, but they threw another incompletion. They were basically giving the Bengals timeouts. And when the opponents are Carson Palmer, TJ Houshman-whatever, and Chad Johnson, you don't want to give them more time to get in the endzone.

romeo doesn't call the plays, the OC does. and if Vickers catches that 2nd pass, cinci doesn't get a final drive.

I'm assuming you are talking about the final scoring drive where they had first and goal in the 4th?

In that case, they ran 1st and 2nd downs, but attempted to throw 3rd down.

1st-10, CLE30 8:29 J. Lewis rushed to the left for 47 yard gain
1st-10, CIN23 7:55 D. Anderson passed to K. Winslow down the middle for 18 yard gain
1st-5, CIN5 7:18 J. Lewis rushed to the left for 4 yard gain
2nd-1, CIN1 6:35 J. Lewis rushed to the left for no gain
3rd-1, CIN1 5:52 D. Anderson incomplete pass to the right

4th-1, CIN1 5:44 P. Dawson kicked a 18-yard field goal

NFL - Cincinnati Bengals/Cleveland Browns Box Score Sunday September 16, 2007 - Yahoo! Sports

They should have thrown on 2nd down instead of 3rd, but that's just my opinion. Play action on 3rd down fooled no one.....

and I've never been happier to be wrong before either
