Bengals To Part Ways With Shayne Graham - :: Cincinnati news story :: LOCAL 12 WKRC-TV in Cincinnati
Local 12 has learned the Bengals are parting ways with Shayne Graham.

Graham's contract runs out at the end of the month.

At least for the immediate future, he's missed his last kick for the Bengals.

Workouts were held for several kickers today and sources close to the situation say it's likely Dave Rayner will be signed to a contract either today or tomorrow.

The "nobody else in the league wants you / we're a bunch of misfits" thing worked for them this year (to a point).

As a Browns fan I would take the Bengals 2009 year in a heartbeat.

I don't really care if my pro teams are thugs, but I like my college teams to keep it clean. I wonder why that is.

I don't care one way or the other, but I've never seen a team that seems like they prefer people with character issues. I know that's a little overboard, but you know what I'm saying.

That's Chad wanting TO to be a Bengal. Has nothing to do with reality.

If what's being reported on the radio (and already posted in TO's thread) is true, then I'd say the Cincinnati reporter speaking to Gottlieb a month ago must have been going on more than Ocho Cinco's tweet.

EDIT

Apparently Antonio Bryant is visiting the Bengals today as well.

Obviously I was wrong. Apparently Marvin Lewis has been nosing around contemplating the idea.

But TO was just put on ice. He was supposed to visit today. It's been pushed back to Wednesday as Antonio Bryant is still in town. (Probably negotiating the deal)

T.O. visit to Cincy could be delayed by a day | ProFootballTalk.com

Free-agent receivers Antonio Bryant and Terrell Owens were scheduled to visit the Bengals on Tuesday.

Bryant is there. Owens apparently has not yet arrived.

According to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer, Owens' visit likely won't happen until Wednesday, apparently due to the length of Bryant's visit.

Of course, if Bryant would sign a deal before leaving, T.O. might not be visiting at all.

Update: T.O apparently going to be in Cincy for a late dinner with coaches tonight:

with Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Bryant at Paul Brown Stadium and Bills wide receiver Terrell Owens flying in from California to have a late dinner with some Bengals coaches. A Johnson deal combined with a potential Bryant multi-year contract is going to dictate how the rest of the roster is put together.

Free agent Antonio Bryant is believed to be the Bengals' "first choice" at wide receiver, according to beat writer Joe Reedy.
Bryant had a positive meeting with the Bengals Tuesday, pushing Terrell Owens' visit back to Wednesday. Bryant also has a meeting scheduled with the Redskins Wednesday, so the Bengals will have to get him locked up before he leaves team headquarters. Speculation has emerged that Owens' impending visit is merely to placate Chad Ochocinco, who has pushed for the signing.

Not sure what I believe anymore ...

TO arrived in Cincy

maybe they will sign BOTH TO and Bryant? that would be sweet

T.O. arrives in Cincinnati | ProFootballTalk.com

Well, it finally has happened. Terrell Owens is in Cincinnati.

He arrived tonight, and Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer harvested some quotes from him.

"Right now this is my first stop and we'll see how it goes from there," Owens said. "Chad [Ochocinco] and I both can alleviate a lot of pressure off each other and we can make Carson [Palmer's] job easier."

The Bengals spent the day meeting with receiver Antonio Bryant. Bryant, who spent the last two years with the Buccaneers, left today.

adam schefter reports that the bengals could be going after BRANDON MARSHAL. how big would that be....screw TO, ill take marshall any day over him

Bengals don't need to give up a first-round pick for another number one WR, they already have one of those. Antonio Bryant should be good if they can get him. TO even should be, if he can keep his head on straight. That's unlikely.
