I just wanted to give props to all of the Gator Seniors on the 2008 squad.

This year they reached a 100% graduation rate, which is not a bad feat for a team earning a National Championship.

Congratulations to Curtis Carr, Tate Casey, John Curtis, Jamaal Deveaux, Javier Estopinan, Andrew Fritze, Brad Hiers, Cornelius Ingram, Andrew Johnson, Bobby Kane, Kestahn Moore, Louis Murphy, Kyle Newell, Jonathan Phillips, Kyle Pratt, Butch Rowley, James Smith, Jim Tartt, Greg Taussig, Phil Trautwein and Jason Watkins.

Some sites that I found gave them a 68 - 80% graduation rate for recent years; nobody was at 100%.

What are the college football graduation rates? : Fanblogs College Football Blog

If in fact they did have a 100% graduation rate this year, that is even more impressive than them winning the national Championship. :)

Put another way, every Senior graduated.

Siler went to the NFL, others transferred, etc., so the ones who did not stay at UF for four years did not, obviously.

I guess it is how you define it. But graduating all the guys who stay is a positive thing.

Agreeing with and backing up Gatorubet on this one. Tebow is a great player, he'll be remembered for a long time by the fans here, but the way the reporters slather praise on to the point of self-parody. Only thing I can say is, imagine how bad it would be if he played for USC.

Holy shit.

I honestly hadn't thought of that before. Yeeeikes.

BTW I agree with what the UF fans say on this one, the real shame is the media makes people have negative feelings toward a kid who really is just that good of a kid, forget football.

Had he gone to Alabama - I'm almost certain he would have gotten a 20% write-in vote for Governor

Florida's future looks bright....

Why Gators will start 2009 ranked No. 1

Florida quarterback Tim Tebow began to walk off the stage to close the Gators' national title celebration Sunday. Then the junior stopped. "Oh, and by the way, one more thing," Tebow said. "Let's do it again. I'm coming back." With Tebow back, the Gators probably will begin the 2009 season atop the polls. Florida returns most of a defense that held Oklahoma -- which averaged 54 points a game this season -- to 14 points in Thursday's BCS title game. Gators coach Urban Meyer said Sunday that linebacker Brandon Spikes and receiver Percy Harvin, both juniors, are still trying to decide whether they should enter the NFL draft. "They're still researching," Meyer said. "That's all I want is for them to make a good decision."

That's scary. I only recognize a handful of those names. I hope your team is ravaged with a slew of early-entrants and disgruntled transferors. :)

Not sure where to put this so I'll put it here since we're talking about the Gators future. ESPN "recruiting analyst"(I use that term extrememly loosely) Tom Luginbill was on Tim Tebow Live(or was it College Football Live?) on ESPN this afternoon to discuss the Gator quarterback situation in 2010 when Jesus leaves. He proceeded to talk about how it will be between Cameron Newton and John Brantley. Yep, the same Cam Newton that stole a fellow students laptop and destroyed it in November and is reportedly likely to transfer to a JC in Texas. Oh course there was no acknoledgment at all to the previous information about Newton or insinuation that he might not even be on the team, likely because he's completely oblivious to the information(What's that? Shav Beaver isn't committed to Michigan anymore?). The funnist part was they pulled up a graphic next to his face with all the Gator quarterbacks and Cam Newton's name wasn't even on it! Apparently the people making the graphics at ESPN have more of a clue about college football than the analysts. As always Tom Luginbill with his finger on the pulse of anything and everything college football.

EDSBS

Blog Every Day Should Be Saturday checked in with a celebration "routine" for a Gator fan.

Definitely not safe for work...but probably worth the look at home if your wife/girlfriend isn't over your shoulder.

Now I want ASU to win a championship to see what comes from their student "body"

EDSBS ? Archive ? THAT?S ONE WAY TO CELEBRATE

Note to mods: I really wasn't sure where to put this seeing as it is from decent source but not something to view from work. I understand if it is moved/taken down.

Man, that's pretty pathetic that UF's dorms suck so much that random, load-bearing poles are located in the middle of the rooms.

I would have been more impressed if she did the Chomp with her legs.
