The day after the game and watching espns coverage I said to one of the guys I work with that I wish I would have known before the game that jesus christ himself was the qb for florid. My favorite was them talking about if he should go pro or come back. the answer was that he shouldcome back so he could cement his place as the greatest college qb of all time.

really espn? greatest of all time? How so?

Tebow Skips Senior Season, Ascends Directly Into Heaven

MIAMI (SP) -- Shortly after leading the Florida Gators to a national championship with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma, junior quarterback Tim Tebow announced that he would skip his senior season and ascend directly into heaven. Tebow entered the press room to wild applause. A reporter for a 24- hour cable sports network burst into tears when the 2007 Heisman winner entered the room. Another threw a pair of boxer shorts on the podium. Tebow smiled at the gesture and several sports reporters fainted.

"Sorry I'm late," Tebow began. "There was a six-year-old boy with cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal him." "I want to start by saying that playing quarterback for the University of Florida, winning two national championships, has been a great honor. There has been some speculation about my future and I want to clear that up right now," he continued. "Don't go, Tim!" a reporter shouted from the back of the room. "After much consideration, I have decided to skip my senior season at the University of Florida and ascend directly into Heaven," Tebow announced. Upon making the announcement, Tebow was bathed in a blinding white light and vanished.

In response to the news, ESPN announced they will have a month-long tribute to Tebow. ESPN2 will now be known as ESPN-TEBOW and will feature Tebow highlights (including home videos of Tebow's childhood), re-airings of past interviews, Tebow-centric analysis by ESPN air personalities, a Tebow quiz show and a reality show to find the "most Tebow-like" person in America. "He wasn't just the greatest player in college football history," said a college football writer at the press conference, tears streaming down his face. "He might have been the greatest person to ever walk on earth."

Is it true Tim Tebow would have as much fun watching an 8 year girl play house, as most football fans have watching Tebow play football??

That is what Gary Danielson said on the Cowherd show on Friday. Gary says announcers take a lot of flack over their constant admiration of Tebow, but when you meet him you realize, if you invited Tebow into your home, "he'd have as much fun watching your daughter, as you have watching him play football." Seems logical.

I agree......otherwise Tebow will probably infect with a plague or something of that sort.

Note to Gary, don't go confusing Tebow and Jeffcat when handing out the invites to the house.

Hey, I have no problem with Tebow the player or person. What I have a problem with is the throngs of suddenly homosexual broadcasters that spend three hours each week telling me how Timmy's poop is used to nourish wounded baby seals back to health. I honestly don't think I'm gonna be able to watch a second of CFB coverage next year and that irritates me.

Here, I pretty much agree with the portrayal of the broadcasters as Tebowner munchers. It is annoying to us too. We think it detracts from the "team" thing, and we wish they would comment on the job our receivers do downfield blocking, etc.

Its just that Tim is not trying to impress anyone, he is just being Tim, and it is unfortunate that he gets the bulk of the response from the lovefest when he is not the one beating that drum.

Agreeing with and backing up Gatorubet on this one. Tebow is a great player, he'll be remembered for a long time by the fans here, but the way the reporters slather praise on to the point of self-parody. Only thing I can say is, imagine how bad it would be if he played for USC.

Last Gator related post RE: 2008 Season

I just wanted to give props to all of the Gator Seniors on the 2008 squad.

This year they reached a 100% graduation rate, which is not a bad feat for a team earning a National Championship.

Congratulations to Curtis Carr, Tate Casey, John Curtis, Jamaal Deveaux, Javier Estopinan, Andrew Fritze, Brad Hiers, Cornelius Ingram, Andrew Johnson, Bobby Kane, Kestahn Moore, Louis Murphy, Kyle Newell, Jonathan Phillips, Kyle Pratt, Butch Rowley, James Smith, Jim Tartt, Greg Taussig, Phil Trautwein and Jason Watkins.
