BCS Title: Florida 24, Oklahoma 14 (Final)

My thoughts

1-Gerald McCoy should be drafted way, way, way before either of the QBs-he is either the next Kevin Williams, or the next Richard Seymour, depending on if he is a 4-3 DT, or a 3-4 DE. Either way, he is muy impressive-and in amazing shape for 295.

2-Jermaine Gresham and Aaron Hernandez might be the two best college TEs I have ever seen-and definitely the two best in the same game.

3-I am officially off the "Tebow will be a good NFL QB" bandwagon-arm didn't impress me-he has moxie and will stick around the league, but he won't be a franchise QB.

4-The Big 12 defenses this year made the Pac-10 teams look like the 85' Bears. Oklahoma didn't look so amazing facing a front 7 loaded w/ future NFLers....

I heard it. I'm curious though, where was it during the Sugar Bowl? O ya, that's right. Utah went undefeated by pounding your SEC breathren.

Sorry had to.

Since it is essentially saying that our conference is better than your conference since we just beat you, why would we do it when we lose?

You people confuse me...unlike the ESPN posters.:tongue2:

I live in Orlando and a lot of my co-workers are Florida fans. So, on Friday I wore a Utah utes shirt and on the back I had a strip of paper saying,"Our true National Champion." Needless to say they didn't like it very much.

I realize I"m a couple days behind, oh well. Thoughts...

Some injuries, hope all the players on both sides are fine.

What happened to Bob and his staff? I thought JT and co had a little falling off session, but damn, I really do feel for OU. (On second thought, running up the score - nope, dont feel bad)

This game reminded me of the Penn State-Ohio State, wasn't great offense or defense, it was a clusterfuck of poor execution and inept play calling.

Seriously, how many times was Tebow going to run that QB draw before the OU D-coord, said "hey, watch that draw". 3rd and 15, tebow picks it up running, you deserve to lose.

Not only that, but it was almost as if the OU defenders shyed away from hitting Tim. I don't give a god damn how big he is, if your QB feels like picking up some yards, I'm gonna make him pay for it.

I wasn't at all impressed with Florida's offense. OU had the right idea early on. Don't let Demps or Tebow run it inside, and keep a close eye on rainey and or harvin going outside on you. Force them to throw consistently, especially downfield and you have the blueprint for beating the Gators.

OU's offense. Not like I was impressed either, but yeah - why not hurried it up a bit more? When they tied the game back up at 14, did their coaching staff decide to quit on offense? Bradford was just getting a ryhthm, and Brown was picking up yardage. - utilize that hurry up a tad bit more gentlemen, wear out those UF defenders.

Bob got greedy early on, and I think it cost him.

I got to meet Meyer when he was in Ashtabula (OH) a while back - not a man of many words, I'm not a huge fan, but I don't dislike him either, but that stupid ass grin he has gets on my last nerve.

Not much else. OU could have won, UF made some plays - congrats to the Gators.

That is pretty my view, when you boil it all down. We lose 5 out of ten of these.

I am proud that we kept them to 14. That 60 points per game average the last five had me a little worried. Them getting 0 points on our two first half turn overs was the stat of the game, even more significant than the 12 of 17 third down conversions by the reptiles.

Tebow Skips Senior Season, Ascends Directly Into Heaven

MIAMI (SP) -- Shortly after leading the Florida Gators to a national championship with a 24-14 win over Oklahoma, junior quarterback Tim Tebow announced that he would skip his senior season and ascend directly into heaven. Tebow entered the press room to wild applause. A reporter for a 24- hour cable sports network burst into tears when the 2007 Heisman winner entered the room. Another threw a pair of boxer shorts on the podium. Tebow smiled at the gesture and several sports reporters fainted.

"Sorry I'm late," Tebow began. "There was a six-year-old boy with cancer in row 54 and I had to make my way through the crowd to heal him." "I want to start by saying that playing quarterback for the University of Florida, winning two national championships, has been a great honor. There has been some speculation about my future and I want to clear that up right now," he continued. "Don't go, Tim!" a reporter shouted from the back of the room. "After much consideration, I have decided to skip my senior season at the University of Florida and ascend directly into Heaven," Tebow announced. Upon making the announcement, Tebow was bathed in a blinding white light and vanished.

In response to the news, ESPN announced they will have a month-long tribute to Tebow. ESPN2 will now be known as ESPN-TEBOW and will feature Tebow highlights (including home videos of Tebow's childhood), re-airings of past interviews, Tebow-centric analysis by ESPN air personalities, a Tebow quiz show and a reality show to find the "most Tebow-like" person in America. "He wasn't just the greatest player in college football history," said a college football writer at the press conference, tears streaming down his face. "He might have been the greatest person to ever walk on earth."
