BCS Title: Florida 24, Oklahoma 14 (Final)

Been saying this since midseason. The B12 is overrated. Either Utah or SC, or heck, even Texas would have made better choices. Go Gators.

I think the big 12 overrated talk is getting a bit out of hand. Yes it was overrated to a certain extent. But now it's to the point where Utah is a legitimate contender but Texas gets the "even". That's a bit much for me.

I also think the Big 12 offense are a little better than some of them have shown this bowl season. A lot of these offenses are precision passing attacks that rely a lot on timing...having 4 weeks off goes a long way to disrupt that timing.

Gators defense sees double in prep for up-tempo Sooners - NCAA Football - CBSSports.com Live Scores, Standings, Stats

Like UF coach Urban Meyer wasn't going to be ready, right? In a profession of
friggin' control freaks and anal geniuses, Meyer is the biggest control freak, the
most anal, of them all. (All due respect.) And he and his staff came up with a
plan to get ready for Oklahoma's no-huddle attack, a plan sniffed out by yours
truly. And it's a hell of a plan.

The Florida defense hasn't been working in practice against an offense as fast
as Oklahoma's. Florida has worked against an offense that's even faster.
How is that possible? I'll tell you how, and it's devious. Meyer wasn't content
to make his defense defend a UF scout team simulating the Sooners' offense.
He had them defend two offenses:

One scout-team offense to run the play. A second scout-team offense waiting,
as soon as the whistle blew, to sprint onto the field and run the next play. Then
the first unit runs a play. Then the second. Back and forth the scout team offenses
go, one play leading to the next to the next to the next, with no break for the defense.

That's how Meyer has gotten the Gators ready.

They act like this wasn't wasn't already done. Oklahoma State did the same thing and they talked about it during the Saturday Night Coverage of Oklahoma State - Oklahoma.

But it's a good prcatice technique....

I feel confident in saying this-

Florida is going to SMASH Oklahoma.
Yes, and if there is any justice in the world, the dilapidated chuckwagon known as the Sooner Schooner will catch fire on the way to the stadium (sparing the little ponies and Tom Joads driving the thing of course).

Alrighty then.....I finished my pledge hazing abuse lawsuit that has to be filed today, and it's only 2:12 am :banger:

I can get some sleep before meeting with the FBI at 9:00 and running for the airport with my BCS tix in hand.:groove2:

Pledge hazing abuse? Whatever happened to just giving noobs an atomic wedgie, and making them buy the beer?

Have a great trip. I expect you're going to enjoy the game, and the postgame celebration.

All the B12 is over rated and will be exposed by UF talk has gotten to the point where my gambling spider senses are tingling.

I am now suspicious of the UF hammering I thought was coming all along. My first instinct was that UF would shithammer OU so thats probably what I will go with but I've just got that feeling.

Stoops (nom nom nom) was due to get lucky sometime and I think this might have been his year.
But I really, really liked what I saw outta DeMarco Murray this year. His loss has to be backbreaking for the Sooners. I take the Gators by 9.

Put it this way, I was a big skeptic, and every B12 team has performed like how I expected/hoped they would. My prediction for the UT game was 27-24.

IMO, the B12 teams are no more than what Purdue was when they had Brees and a real defense. Very efficient on offense against weak to mediocre defenses, but returns to reality against good to great defenses. Those types of teams usually end up in the 5-10 range, but since this year has been so skewed in favor of the B12, a couple of teams will finish in the top five.

OK, maybe UT is a top five team but I don't think the same can be said about the Sooners.

Utah is not a legitimate contender. Alabama had issues and didn't look like they took Utah as seriously as Utah took them.

UT is a good team. Oklahoma will be exposed to be otherwise.
