BCS Title: Florida 24, Oklahoma 14 (Final)

you can do the same analysis with scoring offense and it looks about as lopsided.

top five OU opponents scoring offense: 4, 5, 6, 8, 18

top five UF opponents scoring offense: 27, 29, 30, 32, 35,

next five for OU: 20, 21, 34, 51, and 67

next five for UF: 47, 87, 91, 92, 104

True. A reasonable person could conclude that the Big-12 playa sucky defense and the SEC plays poor offense with those stats.

If defense wins championships, then I feel ok about that.

Oklahoma RB DeMarco Murray to miss title game with hamstring - NCAA Football - Bowls - 2008 - SI.com

OU's Murray out for title game

Story Highlights
Oklahoma RB DeMarco Murray will miss the BCS title game because of injury

Murray is set to undergo surgery on Dec. 22 to repair a hamstring tendon

Murray was OU's leading rusher before injuring the leg in the Big 12 title game

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Oklahoma running back DeMarco Murray will have surgery to repair a hamstring injury and miss the BCS national championship game against Florida.

Murray will undergo surgery on Dec. 22 to repair the tendon in his left leg, Sooners' coach Bob Stoops said Tuesday. The championship game is Jan. 8.

"Obviously, we're very disappointed for DeMarco," Stoops said in a statement. "He has been an important part of our success this year and we will miss his contributions."

Murray was Oklahoma's leading rusher before he was injured in the Big 12 championship game against Missouri on Dec. 6. The injury was first diagnosed as a bruise but an MRI exam revealed the damage.

Horrible news, stud DT DeMarcus Granger is reported to be out of the BCS CG due to back surgery. Man. Both teams are walking wounded. Texas has to be even more pissed that it cannot be in the hunt for the Crystal.

looks like most people are taking the gators (no surprise).

i'm curious about how many points it would take for you to switch your bet (assuming you bet on the gators). for me, it would have to be gators -8

CBS announcer goes to ER after Tebowner lasts for more than four hours

gdanielson.jpg

ATLANTA, GA At approximately 11 pm Saturday night, CBS sports
announcer Gary Danielson realized it was time to head for the Emergency
Room. "Every single commercial for a male virility pill, like Viagra or Cialis,
says that if your erection lasts for more than four hours, then you should
call a doctor," Danielson said. "Well I had the biggest Tebowner of my life
yesterday, and it started about 3 pm eastern time and it wasn't gone by
11 pm, and I knew it wasn't even close to being gone, so I came to the
ER."

“We’ve tried cold water, and we’ve tried ice cubes, and we’ve even tried
naked pictures of Rosie O’Donnell,” Mushtaf said. “Nothing has worked so
far. But now we’ve got him in there watching this year’s game between
the Iowa Hawkeyes and Indiana Hoosiers. That ought to make it go away.”

Scary thought.....

Florida will be the unquestioned team to beat (provided Tim Tebow returns). Whether or not the Gators beat Oklahoma on Jan. 8, you might as well go ahead and pencil them in to next year's championship game in Pasadena. As if the prospect of Tebow returning for another year (along with the running back stable of Jeff Demps, Chris Rainey and Emmanuel Moody), Florida could potentially bring back -- get this -- all 11 starters on defense, plus nearly every key reserve. Eight of their current starters are freshmen or sophomores, and the only real risk to turn pro is junior linebacker Brandon Spikes.

ESPN - Under Armour All-Americans weigh in on recruiting issues

Some amusing answers.
Who will win the national championship, Florida or Oklahoma? And any Super Bowl predictions?

Brazinski: Oklahoma will win in a shootout. It'll be a close game, though. As for the Super Bowl, Steelers will beat the Giants. That won't be popular back in New Jersey where everyone is a Giants fan. Campanaro: Florida will win, because the SEC plays the best defense and it has Tim Tebow. As for the Super Bowl, I think the Eagles will finally win the ring for Donovan McNabb.
Jenkins: Florida will win with its speed. I don't think Oklahoma sees speed like that on a weekly basis. Since my Redskins are out, I don't know. I can't go for the Eagles or Giants because they are in the same division as the Skins.
Martin: Florida will win with speed. The Super Bowl is an easy one; I'm a huge Indianapolis Colts fan.
Patterson: Florida has the speed. The Falcons will win the Super Bowl. I'm from Georgia.
Shepard: Florida will win because of Tim Tebow's leadership and the overall speed of the SEC. The Super Bowl is too tight to call.
Te'o: Florida has a game-changer like Tim Tebow and the overall team speed. Since the 49ers can't win the Super Bowl -- that's my favorite team -- I'll go with the Baltimore Ravens. Ray Lewis is my idol; I look up to him and emulate him.
