LSU - @Kentucky (7-4) 43-37 3 OTvery bad loss
West Virginia - @South Florida (8-3) 21-13wasn't even this close(very bad loss)
Ohio State - Illinois (9-3) 28-21we were raped and lost by a td

Extremely funny that lsu dropped 4 spots with their loss osu dropped 6 and that wvu jumped 4-5 spots in the computers to a lesser ranked team than the team osu(who stood pretty pat) beat(22 vs 23) and asu jumped up to tie us in the computers without playing....hmmmmm

regardless the stars are aligning

One thought, loser of Mizz/Kansas ??? How far down do they drop ?? It would be 1 loss to a top five. We have one loss to a top 25. We they stay above us ?????

No way do they stay above us.

If you think about it, logically, strength of schedule means nothing this year... so what you played the softest schedule this year there have been so many upsets by weak teams.

You have a worse chance at being upset this year than in any other year - so really strength of schedule means nothing because every week is a chance at losing this year...

The consensus seems to be that an Ohio State Kansas matchup would be the most improbable scenario. I'm going with that as my prediction for the NC game.

I totally agree. The thing is, the media should be pushing this one if only because of the coaching matchup--wasn't Mangino an assistant to JT at YSU?

Per ESPN news, the BCS changed their rules today, to allow teams from BCS conferences to get at-large bds if they are ranked in the top 18. The previous rule had been top-14.

This was done in order to get a 4th BCS conference a second bid.

The Pac-10, the SEC, and the Big 12 will each get 2 teams (no conference is allowed 3 bids). The ACC champ, the Big East Champ, and tOSU make 9 teams. If the Hawaii/Boise St. winner doesn't end up in the top-12, the BCS needs to be able to take another BCS conference team: it could be Illinois, the ACC loser, or a second team from the Big East. The chances of Illinois getting a BCS bid aren't bad.

Is there another reason for doing this other than revenue?
