BCS predictions/discussion/Knock Em' Off

Tonight was Step 1 of 5 needed for tOSU to get to New Orleans:

1. Oregon goes down.
2. tOSU takes care of TSUN

3 of these 4 things:
3. LSU goes down to either Ole Miss, Arkansas, or in the CCG
4. W. Virginia loses either at Cincy, or hosting UConn or Pitt
5. Arizona State loses to USC or Arizona (they could jump tOSU by winning out)
6. The Big 12 Champ gets a loss before the CCG:
---A (Oklahoma loses to TTech, but wins the CCG), or
---B (Mizzou loses to K. St, but then beats Kansas and Okla). or
---C (Kansas loses at home to Iowa St., but beats Mizzou and Okla)

If we fall no lower than 8th in the BCS Ohio State is NOT out of the National Championship picture.

LSU: @Ole Miss, Arkansas, SEC Championship
Oregon: @Arizona, @UCLA, Oregon State
Kansas: Iowa State, Missouri, BIG 12 Champsionship
Oklahoma: @Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, BIG 12 Championship

West Virginia: @Cincinnati, U Conn, Pitt
Arizona State: USC, Arizona

Our regular season may end next week but there is still a lot of football to be played. Every team but Kansas needs just one more loss to drop below Ohio State and I don't see any of them as world-beaters. In what may be one of the wackiest years ever in college football - why not?

Oregon loses. Well, well, well. If LSU and WV lose, we end up playing the Big 12 Champ in the NC game. Seems ALOT more likely now than it did a few days ago.

Of all the teams in front of the Buckeyes, I thought that Oregon was the least likely to lose.

Over the last couple days while reading all the posts about how it ain't over I was seriously doubting that we had any chance left at all.

Now, I just don't know. This might be the greatest college football season ever.

I think Ole Miss can upset LSU. The last few times they have played it has been close, and with Miles' coaching, the Tigers may be dumb enough to lose.

Also, I think Texas Tech can play their style of football and upset Oklahoma at home. Then Oklahoma can go on to win the Big 12 with a 2 loss season and a Fiesta Bowl.

I just want to beat Michigan now. If we do that, whatever bowl game in which we end up will be fine with me.

Agreed, this is my thoughts as well. I will focus on what's happening with the rankings after Saturday.

All this talk is for nothing if we don't dominate on Saturday, this is Michigan week, not "look at our chances for the bcs week" all we can do now is win. If we win, hopefully things work out, if not, I can go to Pasadena and see the Bucks, hopefully see a few people from this forum there. All you should be concerned with right now is that we beat scUM and send Lloyd out with a 6th L.
