Don't know if this has been posted or not. My friend sent this to me and I am checking to see if this is true/accurate:

Students who are eligible to enter the bowl lottery should come to the Ticket Office in the southeast corner of the Schottenstein Center on Monday, Nov. 27 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to pick up a lottery number.

OSU Students and Faculty/Staff: Only those students/faculty/staff who purchased a student/faculty/staff season ticket for the 2006 season are eligible to enter the bowl lotteries. Those faculty/staff members who were refunded because demand exceeded the supply available this season also are eligible to enter the bowl lottery. Students who are eligible to enter the bowl lottery should come to the Ticket Office in the southeast corner of the Schottenstein Center on Monday, Nov. 27 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to pick up a lottery number. Winning student lottery numbers will be posted on Monday night on www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com. Those students successful in the lottery must come to the Ticket Office on Wednesday, Nov. 29 between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to submit payment and pick up their claim voucher. Faculty/Staff who are eligible to enter the bowl lottery should come to the Ticket Office on Tuesday, Nov. 28 between 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to pick up a lottery number. Winning faculty/staff lottery numbers will be posted on Tuesday night on www.ohiostatebuckeyes.com. Those faculty/staff successful in the lottery must come to the Ticket Office on Thursday, Nov. 30 between the hours of 8 a.m.-5 p.m. to submit payment and pick up their claim voucher. All students/faculty/staff must pick up their tickets at the team hotel or the bowl game site (more information to follow) and must provide two forms of photo identification as well as their claim voucher. Each student/faculty/staff must pick up their own ticket(s). Tickets will not be given out without proper photo identification and the claim voucher.

FYI if its like 2002 if you go you will get a ticket. it took three or four rounds but after they had enough unclaimed tickets they said anyone with a lotto number can buy a ticket. so make sure you go stand in line!

student lottery

I am going to Glendale with my dad, and I am a student with season tickets. It sounds like I have a decent chance of getting a ticket.

The ticket pickup in Glendale seems to limit the people getting tickets to only those that actually go. Is there any way for me to have a friend enter the lottery in an attempt to get an additional ticket? Or would they have to be in AZ to pick it up.

I know I can always but two together on the market and sell my one, but I was wondering if there was a way to avoid that.

Thanks

So is there any chance of getting tickets seated next to a friend or two? Also, I thought it said something about claim vouchers that you pick up. So does that mean you won't get the ticket immediately but at Glendale? Kind of confusing...

So lets say I win the lottery. Can i then give/sell my winning lottery ticket to someone to pay for the tickets at the Shott? and then have that person pickup the tickets in Arizona? Or is going to Arizona and picking up the tickets personally the only way to sell them?

Very confusing.

Posted on ohiostatebuckeyes.com:

ONLY THE ORIGINAL LOTTERY WINNER MAY PICK UP THE STUDENT TICKET - NO EXCEPTIONS.

However, my friend who works at the Schott said that they swiped your BuckID just to check if you are a registered student and that the lottery ticket isn't tied to your BuckID, but that's his guess.

I didn't win. :(
Hopefully the second round I get lucky.

Here's the deal:
My lottery ticket didn't win, but my friend who I took with me who didn't want to go to the game did win.

Does anyone have a POSITIVE answer is to whether or not I can take my friend's lottery ticket to buy myself the ticket? I would really like to know ASAP so I can book my hotel room/transportation.

GO BUCKS!

As like many of the osu students who went and picked up a lottery ticket today, I didnt win. After talking to my older brother about it, since he is an OSU grad student who was an undergrad student in 2002, he said about every other student who he knew got a lottery ticket ended up with one in the end. However tonight after talking to 14 buddies of mine, only 1 actually won the lottery. Don't know for sure whether or not there will be other rounds but there were a lot of people in the lines today ( I checked since I live right near the Schott). If there are anymore rounds does anyone know when they will be announced?

I am curious about other rounds also. We didn't win tickets this time, but we are holding out. Last year there were more rounds. A lot of people talking in line today were saying they were selling theirs. I don't think they realized that they have to pick them up in AZ. We shall see.

Our group had about 14 entries and only 1 winner. 3 of us that are going are actually students and will be wanting to use winning lotto tickets. I really hope they release another pool like previous years. And it does look like they've stepped up security for picking up tickets in AZ. Last year all you needed was the buckeyeID of the winning person. Now you need 2 forms of ID.

1000 out of 16,000 to students is crap in my opinion.
