There's no shame in admitting it. OSU turned the ball over too many times. It happened. No shame. Just a 'bad fact.' First off, I'm not necessarily an Ohio State fan, but I do root for you guys when you're not playing Texas:). Some very close friends of mine are alumni and are crazy about OSU football, and it's contagious for me.
The main reason I'm posting is to state that, while there were several reasons for the loss last night, the main reason is your offensive coordinator was/is COMPLETELY inept and needs to be replaced. He made no adjustments when it became obvious that Boeckman was going to have NO time to go through progressions or wait even a half of a second to find the open man. There was NO imagination, NO thinking outside the box, and NO seeming attempt to adjust. That's okay when you're going against Troy State, but not a real team.
That's it. You guys will be back next year - hopefully playing Texas in the National Championship game

I'm a bit late to the discussion as I just recently signed up to these boards.
First of all, props to the LSU team for keeping their shit together and executing a nearly mistake free game. Talk about a team with some impressive talent and a lot of composure. Secondly, to the LSU fans that have been posting here, you folks rock. I know its been said before but it bears repeating, very classy display of sportsmanship from y'all.
uggggggggggggggg ... what a painful game to watch for me as it was for so many. The cornerstone to our defeat seemed clear to me to be the big time mistakes/penalties. I had this awful feeling when our field goal got blocked that this was going to get a bit ugly. But I'm proud of the way the Bucks came back in the 2nd half ready to keep plugging away. If you look at the way we played aside from the 2nd quarter I think we absolutely deserved to be there, but we certainly got outplayed. LSU was not impervious to our attacks. The biggest difference was that our execution got sloppy at times and you just can't have that against a team that good and expect to hang in there.
On Jan. 7 2008 LSU was unquestionably the best collegiate football team, and thus the deserved national champions.
On any other given day I think we could take them ... or they could take us. Thats the beauty of the game. There is so much you can control and so much you can't. All you can do is go out give it everything you have to give and hope that on that day its more than the other team has.

Hey guys, I kind of agree about having to let it go. Find some alternative things to pay attention to.
Ohio State has a young, but improving basketball team. Due to the rough out of conference schedule the team has dealt with (NC, Butler, Syracuse, A&M, Florida), the teams maturity has skyrocketed. They are no where near their potential right now, but they already play incredibly sound defense.
You can always root against the Patriots. Go Jags, Colts/Chargers, Packers/Seahawks/Giants/Cowboys! Okay, maybe not Cowboys...
The Cavs are starting to play a bit better, thanks to LeBron coming back healthy. You never know what can happen with LeBron on the court.
If the NHL playoffs were to start today, the Blue Jackets would be 3 points outside of a playoff spot. So, for all you Blue Jackets fans, you can pay attention to that. I know I'm pleased because of my Penguins being the 4th seed if the playoffs were to start today.
Oh, and there is a bunch of recruiting stuff. I dunno if you know this, but the Buckeyes kind of have a good class.
So yeah, you can always try to think about things other than the game.

So yeah if this game is played 10 times, I think we probably split them. Maybe one team or the other would win 6 of 4, but don't think it would be much more lopsided than that.
P.S. I haven't said this yet, but I got to give credit where it is due. While yes, I think Beanie is one hell of a back, I haven't seen anyone talk about the phenomenal blocking on his TD run. OSU's line put a hat on a hat, and had absolutely everyone accounted for, leaving a 1 on 1 situation with Wells and Steltz. Steltz overpersued, giving Beanie the easy victory in that one, but even if he had maintained his lane, Wells was already 10-15 past the line. Excellent blocking scheme/perfect execution on that play.
