I was speaking talent wise, not TEAM wise, maybe i should have restated that. You can laugh all you want but we'll see which guys are playing on sundays. I will mention though, this is BUCKEYE PLANET, im glad we get the lsu perspective, but i attend the school, so i came hear to talk to fellow buckeyes, not tigers.

You may find Buckeye Planet isn't for you then, sparky. We welcome posters from all teams, even teams that just beat the Buckeyes. If they flame or troll, we deal with them. But, most of the Tiger posters here have not been flamers.

In any case, don't expect the rest of us Buckeye fans to agree with you just because you're a fan too. If arguing in support of your position is going to be a problem for you, you're probably better served at one of Ohio State's more homer fan boards. (take your pick)

That's great. A number of us graduated from "the school" and we enjoy a respectful discussion with good visiting fans.

I'm just stopping by again after a long time away to see how the BP fares. Being an OU Sooner since 1960-something, I can empathize with your BCS CG woes, unfortunately.
No suicides I trust? How many coaches' heads have been called for? (The OU boards have pretty much limited it to 2. )
Sounds corny, but this too shall pass, and it IS just a kids' game in the Great Scheme of Things.
It was LSU's night, as often happens when they play in their second home. Maybe some year, somebody will catch them at a truly neutral site. But there's no denying you lost to a very good team, if that's any consolation. Thanks, farewell, and better luck next time... unless it's against OU :)

i cant figure it out. usUM beats UF and kinda makes them look stupid.
we barely beat UF and OSU beat suUM then we beat OSU in semi blowout.

It's not going to happen. Everyone who you think will go the NFL will. Terelle Pryor will play for Michigan. Ohio State will get hammered in Los Angeles against USC in September. I wish I could stay positive but it is just not hapenning. It will take Ohio State 5 years to get back into the National conversation. All seems dark. I hope tomorrow will be better. I hope Ohio State does not become a museum to the past.

I have a question about the game. With about 6:30 left in the game (OSU down 14) why wasn't the offense hurrying a little bit more? I'm not talking about a full on no huddle, just instead of calmly huddling, and using most of the play clock before each snap. I commented to my dad at that time that I felt they were doing us a favor by milking as much of the clock as they did.

the only thing i can come up with is that we were playing for overtime. i think jt believed we would score a td on that drive and in doing so would have left around 4 min on the clock. a 3 and out or close to it assuming lsu would be deep into milk the clock mode would put the time down to 1 to 2 1/2 min. which we would want to use the full extent of in order to score a second td to tie and hopefully leave 0 time left for lsu to drive the length of the field. "if" we had scored on that drive rather than turn it over i think the time management would have worked rather well. also assuming lsu goes 3 and out or close to it of course.

theres logic to it, but it leaves no margin for error. unfortunately for tOSU there was error.

much like illi against usc, tOSU is young and broke under the pressure. the blocked field goal took the wind out of their sails, then lsu stormed down the field with a purpose. after that drive and td tOSU was shell shocked. even after the half they were in a daze. we (tOSU) got exactly what we needed in a d stop then roughed the kicker. if that wasn't bad enough we made damn sure you would march down the field by commiting a personal foul on 3rd and 8. i think they wanted to prove the critics wrong so badly that every play and every down every player wanted to win the game on their own. more often than not being the under dog is helpful because it takes the pressure off you and allows you to play with a chip on your shoulder. other times you come out looking to prove people wrong so badly you prove them right.

Not really blind sensationalism, its been getting pretty annoying all morning hearing people who thought our team was uber talented, now saying we cant hold a candle to a f'n mac school. Not to mention, the buckeyes seem to be the blame of the bcs system another year in a row.

meh, let the haters hate. Remember that they were only WATCHING the game last night. While our two teams were PLAYING in it.

One last cheap and cheesy bit of advice: Let it go. Stop watching ESPN about it or reading about it or listening to the radio about it or even posting about it. Go look at the real world and get some perspective... so you can get properly ramped up next fall to do it all again.

Not sure I see the semi-blow out.

Don't get me wrong, 31 straight points is nothing to sneeze at. But... Ohio State was at the LSU 30 yard line with 6:30 to go in the 4th down by only 2 scores. If OSU punches it in there, stops LSU on the next possession (and by then, OSU was having some degree of success at that (of course, maybe that's because LSU had buttoned it up a bit too)) and scores, your semi-blow out is in OT.

That said, I don't mean to take anything away from the LSU win. It was a complete victory. Your guys executed all game long. Our guys did not.

That makes sense, I hadn't thought about it that way. Seems a little risky though.

Agreed, but you have remember, im still walking around this campus, i have friends attending other big schools, so i kind of have to be a little riled up and defensive regarding our bucks.
