Just curious but I thought Flynn had torn a rotator cuff? If so a report saying he's 100% seems odd.

Good... I don't want to hear any excuses when Ohio State beats them.sluTiger;1027191; said:Good news for Tiger Fans:
Good morning, Tiger fans. There is not a lot to talk about as for LSU football news, but I did hear that LSU will be in great shape health-wise for Ohio State. Matt Flynn, Glenn Dorsey, Darry Beckwith and Craig Steltz should be back at full speed. I am receiving mix reports on Keiland Williams, but most say that Williams will play in the game. If Williams cannot go, Trindon Holliday, Charles Scott and Richard Murphy might get a few more carries. Jacob Hester will receive most of the carries as he did during the regular season.
Hope you don't pay too much for that "inside" scoop.sluTiger;1027208; said:Well LSU does not release information about injuries. I do not think it was that serious because he was interviewed by the local reporter the night of the BCS bowl show and he said he would be ready to play. This is Dandy Don's report which is normally the most accurate about "secret" LSU stuff. If he reports those players at 100% they will be at least at 95%.

Miles had already stated that he felt Flynn and others would likely be back at 100% by the time of the NC game to the press. Not exactly unreleased info.
My understanding is that he had a shoulder seperation in his non throwing shoulder. It was not severe (That's easy to say when it's someone else's shoulder, had one, they hurt like hell) He had to go to the locker room at least twice during the last regular season game for repair work (I assume taping) that I noticed. He was only in there for a couple of minutes each time.Jaxbuck;1027194; said:Just curious but I thought Flynn had torn a rotator cuff? If so a report saying he's 100% seems odd.
yeah....actually they weren't going to.Actually, they were but changed their mind after the timeout.

On a more serious note, I'll let Tigertracker respond. If he chooses not to, just between you & me, it was his other shoulder.

Only reason I'm asking is because just like Chad Henne, when anyone has a structure issue in their throwing shoulder(if thats the case, its why I'm asking) that is significant enough to miss games, I am dubious when coaches give it the 'ol "QB X is ready to go" thing.
If you hurt your rotator cuff enough to have to miss the SEC CG, I don't buy the 100% clean bill of health bit less than a month later. "He'll play or He's ready to go" is a lot different than actually being 100%.
COTiger;1027280; said:As someone stated previously, Les is tight lipped about injuries and rightfully so for a number of reasons.
It's strictly my opinion, but I don't think there was any structural damage to the shoulder. My laymans opinion would be something along the lines of a really bad bruise.
Nutriaitch;1027290; said:Flynn was dressed out, and listed as the 3rd QB for that game. Flynn said if he had to, he would have been able to play. He even said he would be healthy enough to start a game a week after the SEC CG, so I'm thinking a month should be enough.
Still uncertain is whether Flynn or Perrilloux will be at quarterback. Flynn has started every game except one, but he hurt his right shoulder diving for a two-point conversion last week.
If the injury impedes Flynn's ability to throw, then the scrambling Perrilloux will play.
"That will be a gametime decision," Miles said. "I think that we don't want a tender quarterback that's trying to get a ball there. We want to be able to sling it."
