Also, welcome again to all LSU fans.

Thanks for the welcome. This is the first opponents board (other than tigerforums.com) I've seen really welcome the opposition. I wasn't well accepted on the USC board, ND would ban people who were LSU fans last year. If you don't kiss the Bear and Saban's ass, don't log onto bama sites. And I'd rather get prison raped than venture anywhere near anything associated with Auburn.

No idea where to put this, but I love Barton's outfit given some of the others

Worth mentioning:

Since the 2005 season began, Ohio State is 33-4. In essence, the Miles era (33-6?). Nevermind that 27 of 33 wins are against MAC and D1-AA teams (6 are vs. scUM), we are proud of them nonetheless (73-15 in the Petey era...)

The 4 losses:

9/10/05 vs. Eventual National Champion Texas 25-22.

10/8/05 at BCS #3 Penn State 17-10.

1/8/07 vs. National Champion Florida 41-14.

11/10/07 vs. Rose Bowl Bound Illinois 28-21.

Notice there isn't a loss in there to a 40 point underdog at home (Spoiled Children), or a 21 point loss vs. a team we declare supremacy against (UGA-Tenn).

We don't have to justify to anyone why we are in the game again this year, and I can't wait to see the Buckeyes line up and prove their worthiness. This should be a great game.

Also, welcome again to all LSU fans. You will enjoy yourselves around here. I have seen nothing but class to this point, and that is just awesome. Good luck come game time.

27 of our 33 wins are against MAC and D-1AA opponents?

Happy Valley vs. LSU Home Game

Add 10,000 more people, play at night, and you have Penn State. We've played in 4 extremely hostile territories this year. Crowd noise will not be a factor.

Herbie said the PSU fans this year were not even close to the roar at the LSU game he attended a few weeks prior (not sure which game). He said death valley was much louder then happy valley

BUT - despite everyone saying that this is an LSU home game, I am guessing there will be between 35-40% Buckeye fans in the crowd. Especially with NO being a party/tourist city, maybe we will get our loudest (or drunkest) fans down there.

GO BUCKS!!!

I agree, it amazes me how many boards refuse to associate with outsiders, no matter how civil they are. I am glad this board has not taken such a stance, and so far, it has been more of a feeling out proccess than anything, but i see a lot of good, friendly debate in the future between the two sides. I think the boards that are closed to outsiders miss out on a lot of good debate, and it says a little about their fan base as well.

Good grief, is it not game time yet??? The wait is going to kill me.

I am curious how loud that place is going to get if Ohio State fans do indeed approach 35% of the Superdome. I bet it still gets pretty loud. There is something about Louisianians and the ability to make noise I just do not understand. It must be we're just properly fueled from the eat and drink.

OSU: Trying to Avoid ?Runner-up U?

By Tom Archdeacon | Tuesday, December 4, 2007, 01:52 AM

?Runner-up U.?
That?s what Steve Spurrier called Ohio State before the football season started and now, at the end of the year, it appears his opinion has not changed.
The South Carolina coach put the top-ranked Bucks No. 5 on his final ballot for the USA Today Top 25 Coaches Poll. Only Florida International University?s Mario Cristobal voted them lower ? at No. 6 ? while two other coaches, Houston?s Art Briles and Frank Beamer of Virginia Tech, had them fourth.
When the Bucks meets Louisiana State in the BCS title game Jan. 7 in New Orleans, they?ll be trying to change the minds of a few of those doubters and, at the same time, make amends after last season?s embarrassing 41-14 collapse against Florida in the national championship game.
