VCR? From what I've read about the Michigan fascination with being "old school" (See weight training program) they were still using Beta.

Maybe that's where the resentment between the two originated. Those VHS-Beta beefs can get nasty.

Here we see LLoyd's assistant setting up the tape room.
This is a great point, and a strong tactic against teams that are used to running alot of players in alot of different looks. So many announcers commented that tOSU played "on their heels" in the Ill game... I believe this tactic has been tried at times against LSU. I've seen a bunch of games, but can't remember who had the most success with it.
Arkansas did a "quick huddle" with some success against us. They run out of the huddle, and snap the ball before we got set.

I'm sure it's no secret. Unlike LLLLLLoyd Carr, I'm sure Les Miles knows how to work a VCR.

I'm not real sure Bo Pelini does. Auburn gave us a bluepring of how to stop McFadden. I don''t think Bo watched that tape.

I meant to post this much earlier... but just forgot. Do you think it was just a coincidence or an omen that the day we are annouced to be in the Naitonal Title game, the NFL Bucs bring home a win in New Orleans?

Also... with a win over Les already in Tressel's pocket, as well as a 1-0-1 record for Ohio State vs LSU all-time... should we add an L to his name? LLes Miles?

Well of course...but let's not count our chickens before they hatch. But LLLes has a nice ring to it doesn't it?

I wonder which Boeckman will show up at this game. Will it be unstoppable Penn State Boeckman who throws the ball smartly and with authority? Or will it be Illinois Boeckman who guides the ball, second guesses himself and throws into triple coverage?

I wonder if Henton will be a big part of the game plan to take pressure off Boeckman, especially if LSU stacks the box and dares us to beat them with the pass.

LSU will stack the box if DLine can not stop your running back. If OSU is going to win, and they can, it will be on the arm of your QB. How do you think he will handle the Tiger Statium South crowd?

The crowd, though concerning, I don't think will be as big of an issue as people are thinking. There are a LOT of big stadiums in the big 10, the bucks have dealt with being booed, the noise and and everyone trying to show up in one color (ie: the white out) pretty well. It's by no means going to make the game easier for the team, but they have experience dealing with it.
