I read an article the other day where i think Hartline said he wanted to get all the fans in a room and apologize, and I thought to myself, that has to be the biggest room in the world.:oh:

:io:

Well, I don't really think Hartline is at fault for the loss, he played OK, and I thought he was interfered a couple times but it was never called. I am curious to see that personal foul called on him, because they never showed during the game. I have watched the game again and still could not locate the foul.

I don't recall one being called on Hartline. I'm watching the game as we speak (so I may not have gotten to it yet). If I remember right, there was 5 personal fouls called. I've already seen 3. The late hit out of bounds (which I think was a bad call), a face mask on Laurinitis(sp?) which was legit, and one on Rehring(sp?) which they don't show. That leaves 2 more. The roughing the punter on spitler, and the one on Heyward (his ole man was a beast in NOLA by the way).

I don't think Hartline meant to apologize for causing the loss...more for the team losing the game.
I also don't remember a PF on him.

One thing I don't see mentioned here in all the post game analysis, the blocked FG.

I'd have to go back and look to be 100% sure but I'm about 95% sure that was the third time this year we've had one blocked and each time it was because the RG #63 got blown back off the LOS.

That was freaking HUGE and for it to happen for the third time to the same guy really makes me wonder.

I didn't see one on Hartline either (the call, if it came, came when I was checking on the kids.. it was in the second half.. 3rd Q, if memory serves, soon after the roughing the K pen. (which, now makes no sense since he doesn't play D... but, it's what I remember regardless Perhaps it was OSU's possession after LSU scored after the ROughing Pen.). But, I can say this, Hartline was interviewed on local radio on Tuesday and clearly admitted that there were too many PFs, one of which was on him. He explained that he let his emotions get the better of him and it was inexcusable.

He definitely got one. But, I can't tell you for what.

The 4 Blocks

Washington
Wisconsin
Mich State
LSU

The Hartline PF
It was in the 2nd Quarter

The end of the drive was that blocked Field Goal.

ok I remember it now.

I'll go back and watch the games again but I'm pretty sure they were all blocked the same way, a bull rush on #63.

If so that the only real aggregious bone I have to pick with the staff after this one. No way should that happen.

That must have been it. Just don't remember it. The Denliger one makes sense as the one which followed the Roughing.

Wait a second... I remember Hartline's now. Not the foul itself. but, I remember OSU driving, getting backed up 15, but then pressing forward. Robo dropping the TD and then the blocked FG. Correct?

Wrong.

PF Denlinger

15 yard facemask JL
Both while LSU was driving

then PF Hartline - while OSU was driving.

OK, that's the PF that had just happened when I posted a few spots up from here. The don't broadcast the official announcing the call, but the announcers say it was on Rehring (is that spelled right?). I don't know if the box score is wrong, or the announcers were.
