Ohio State will get hammered in Los Angeles against USC in September. I wish I could stay positive but it is just not hapenning. It will take Ohio State 5 years to get back into the National conversation. All seems dark. I hope tomorrow will be better. I hope Ohio State does not become a museum to the past.
This just further proves the notion that stats don't always tell the whole story.osugrad21;1059790; said:Dornstar posted this..
OSU - 6.3 yards per play
LSU - 4.2
OSU rushing - 4.8 yards per carry
LSU rushing - 3.1
OSU passing - 8.0 yards per pass
LSU passing - 6.4
The right stats do.This just further proves the notion that stats don't always tell the whole story.

You're right, you could even add penalties to that list. Roughing the Punter was HUGE.t_BuckeyeScott;1059805; said:The right stats do.

I was only speaking in terms of the stats that were in his post. You read that and you assume that OSU had a better offensive performance than LSU did. I don't think even the most bias OSU fan would believe that after watching the game. I don't think they did poorly, but I also believe the Tigers executed the better offensive gameplan last night.

Yep, and that right there pretty much sums up the game. People can talk all they want about lsu having better athletes, the refs, poor coaching, but I dont care what team and coaches you have, your not going to beat a healthy lsu team at home turning the ball over and committing personal fouls. Look what we did the first quarter, complete domination. But i think thats where a weak conference hurts you, in the big ten, that 1 qtr wouldve been all we needed. Until the big ten is back up to par, or we schedule much tougher teams, this will continue to happen, bc i do not feel you can teach the lessons learned when having to fight back on a constant basis. I think the BCS actually has hurt us, i know we get to play in the top bowl games each year, but we are never prepared for them, and i dont think its entirely game planning to blame.t_BuckeyeScott;1059805; said:The right stats do.
