Both Quarterbacks can run the option offense, if we (LSU) choose to run it. Flynn is more of a passer who can run while Perrilloux is the runner who can pass. From a game perspective, both QB's have made their fair share of mistakes and I'd say both are equal (depending on how healthy Flynn gets by the time of the game).

Granted LSU is/was known for Power-I football and of course tailback by committee, so horrendous QB play won't hurt that badly as long as someone is available to take snaps and hand the ball off.

Just out of curiosity, what's the speed of the LB corps like?
They're like Molasses, just ask ESPN. :p

Sorry to be late for the clique meeting. Am I too late for the ceremonial game of vulvarine soccer?

VIA NFLDraftScout.com.

James Laurinaitis: 4.53
Marcus Freeman: 4.67
Larry Grant: 4.72

VIA Scout.com, from when they were first recruited.

James Laurniaitis 4.70 (Interesting note: He was a 3* coming out of high school. Sleeper recruit)
Larry Grant 4.45 (5* recruit out of Junior College)
Marcus Freeman 4.47 (4* recruit)

Take all of that as you will. Enjoy your stay. Thanks for coming up wit constructive questions and discussion instead of trolling. Good luck in January.

What an unbelievable finish to a wild season. And to make it back to the title game in a 'rebuilding' year! What a great reflection on our coaching staff and on the drive of our young team!

Go Bucks!!!! Beat the Tigers!!!

You forgot the Big 10 multiplier...noob...I fixed it.

In all seriousness, I don't know how fast the linebackers are. They are all quick to the ball and use good technique. Freeman is probably a mirror of Ali Highsmith, but a better tackler. Laurinaitis is a beast. The rest of the crew is solid, and I would expect to see several linebackers see playing time.

Thanks. I didn't know the rules for the medical redshirts. But the question remains, will playing in the game against LSU jeopardize a future redshirt for Wilson?

While his playing in the game will still keep him under the ceiling of participting in no more than 20% of the season's games, the conference may look upon the fact he able to play later on in the season (albet the final game) as outside the intent of the medical redshirt option (to give back a season of eligibility when it is missed due to injury and not other factors), since virtually all who are granted medical redshirts miss the rest of their season after the injury. You would think common sense would dictate that 20% of game participation would cover playing in only the first and last games of the season, but unfortunately common sense isn't always applied by the powers-that-be...

I'd say Highsmith is faster than Freeman. That dude can ball. Different roles though, Freeman is more the run stopper of the unit.

After 10 yards I'd say you're probably right, but the first few steps I doubt there's much of a difference...and Highsmith doesn't impress me as a tackler.

Did a quick spin around the other state university boards. I'm amazed that it's an absolute, unquestioned article of faith that Ohio State is going to get embarrassed, blown out and humiliated in New Orleans. It's as if these clowns tuned into one game of the entire Tressel era, but are completely in the dark about everything else that has happened these past seven years.
