I think I read somewhere on here that it will be a crew from the Big 12 working the Championship game.brough;1046508; said:My question I take it has no answer. Watching the officials in these games makes me wonder who the refs will be for the CG? I didn't think my first post was that bad as to be skunked I have been lurking for years but not usually one to post.

BuckeyeGanoosh;1046433; said:Well, Brennaman has been talking the Bucks up just a bit, but that's definitely not a surprise knowing his background. I'm ignoring the rest of the Media hype for this one until Tuesday, because it just angers up the blood....
As I said earlier, that is my main gripe as well, the longevity and time of the game.Personally I felt like Fox got worse in their coverage off college football this year, not better. There were a few keys penalties that never even were spoken of, or even shown. Brennaman just talked over the penatly being announced. Or early in the game where there was an officials review of a catch. They didn't talk about it or replay it, they just went straight to commercial. The review didn't take long, they went to a commercial to quick. Hell. They went to a commercial too quick on every stoppage of play. It really breaks up the flow of the game. I understand having a few more commercials since it's a BCS game, but I assume they will have even more during the Championship game, so does that mean then game won't get over until 2am? Unless we have overtime, then maybe 3am? That was by far the longest college football game I've ever watched, and the constant break in action made it even more boring.

rocketman;1046807; said:The frequency of advertisement in BCS bowl games is probably higher, and the half-time is probably longer, as well. However, I felt like I was watching Monday Night Football. Coming from commercials after a TD, they went back to commercial break after the kick-off. That never happens in college ball.

To be fair however, yesterday's game took even longer because Hawaii threw 57 passes...that adds a lot of stopped clock to the game.
Still, Monday will definitely be a late night.

For whatever reason, I can't seem to figure out how to start a new thread, is it a contributor only function?
