Well UGA is only playing in the Sugar Bowl. Don't be naive you have a great team but if you played in our conference there would be years that you would get beat by UGA, TENN, ARK, AUB, UF, LSU, BAMA. Not all in the same year. That is not a knock on your team at all. We in the future will get beat by the same teams. That is what I mean about not understanding, OSU takes it as a shot at them, and it's not. You truly have the #1 team in the country going in to the NC 2 years in a row. The SEC is a better conference of which your team would come in and have a lot of success. Like I said OSU would be the only team in your conference THIS YEAR to win over 5 games in the SEC. How many would TENN or GA win in yours.

I would love to see Tenn or GA leave the south and come north in late November to play in Columbus or Ann Arbor.

By the way, you are claiming greatness for Tenn. Didn't Tennessee lose last season's Outback Bowl to Penn State by a score of 20-10? Didn't Tennessee get trounced by California this season? California, how good of a season did they end up having out in the Pac Ten? Tennessee was in the SEC Championship game weren't they? If not for a pick six, questionable Tennessee might have beaten LSU for the conference crown.

Also, Wisconson beat Arkansas in the Capital One Bowl last year didn't they? How did LSU do against Arkansas this year at home? Darren McFadden played in both games didn't he?

Do they have any stores in Louisianna they sell CLUES?

Why do you go see about picking one up.

Go Buckeyes!!!!!

:biggrin:You Guys sure do have a hard time accepting a compliment.

That is because you are not complimenting anybody. You came in here puffing out your chest about the SEC while kind of giving OSU some credit and completely dismissing the rest of the conference. The same conference that has a winning record against the SEC in bowl games since the BCS started.

You are playing that same tired argument about who could compete in other conferences. This is of course completly stupid as there is no way to actually compare them. you don't seem to have the first clue of what you are talking about either. I would suggest going and looking at some history of the Big 10 against the SEC and then come back and tell us what you find.

Geez, is the best that you could do. Bearing in mind that the SEC teams haven't played an OOC game away from the South for a decade or so, one does wonder what you boys are so afraid of. The SEC does have a slight edge in head-to-head competition against the Big Ten during the last ten years (1998-present), but it is hardly convincing, especially when the Big Ten teams typically are a bit lower ranked in their conference standings than the SEC teams they play.

Big Ten versus SEC (1998-2007)

Illinois......0 - 1
Illinois......1 - 5
Iowa..........2 - 1

Ohio State....0 - 3
Penn State....2 - 1
Purdue........0 - 2
Wisconsin.....2 - 2

Total........14 - 16

Ohio State vs SEC teams.

Here is the all-time record of Ohio State versus SEC teams. The columns list the date of the game, then the conference standing of Ohio State and their SEC opponent that year, the SEC opponent and their record in the year, W or L, the score and the site of the game (if a bowl).

..........Conference..tOSU...SEC

10/10/1931.........6-3....Vanderbilt (5-4)........L......21...26......

In a typical year, Ohio State was lower ranked in the Big Ten standings than the SEC team it played was ranked in the SEC standings (bearing in mind that the SEC has divisions in more recent years). However, it is clear that the SEC has dominated Ohio State in recent decades.

Coach John Cooper was 1-5 against the SEC. Coach Tressel is 0-2 against the SEC. Ohio State is 1-1-0 against LSU.

Now, genius, know what all of this says about this upcoming NC game? Absolutely nothing, except that Ohio State feels it has a lot to prove.

We are going to crush your slow methodical wear you down team, by running over, around, and through your defense. Withim 10 minutes Hester is going to run someone over. LSU31 OSU10. Get used to it.

Homey, go back to covington and stop being a tool... LSU had not demonstrated the ability to dominate anyone this year... get a clue!

Not to be nit picky but Tressel is 0-2 against the SEC.

That's better. At least now you are not trying to hide thinly veiled complements.
