I keep noticing that all I read everywhere is about that LSU is going to use the time before Jan. 7th to get healthy, but nowhere do any of the talking heads discuss the fact that we will be healthier come kick off than we have been all season. Not only will we have a good chance of having Lawrence Wilson back but Beanie has a chance to be his healthiest. I by no means say this to diminsh the importance of Dorsey getting healthy, from one of the worst cheap shots I can remember I might add, but it sure seems like everyone is overlooking what we gain thanks to the time off as well.

It's a lot more than those two also NastyDogg. Mo Wells, Saine (so the whole RB stable), Robiskie, Denlinger, Rose, and two near-starter LBs... and possibly Boeckman.

Thanks J for further illustrating my point, it's like everyone thinks we had no injuries or dings after a long season. You would think that we were running at 100% when the season ended. No disrespect meant to LSU but I have heard plenty about how we are going to be seeing a different team than the one that finished the year, but we won't be the same team either.

Just to play devils advocate, is it possible that your players showed up but Florida was just better? I never see anyone admitting that possibility. We play them every year and I promise you, they can be very good.
I'm looking at this post as a two-parter, did our players show up, and was Florida just better.
To answer the first, about 5 of them did. Didn't see any of the coaches, though.
The second...sure, it's possible. Were they better by 27 points? Yep, on the only day that mattered.

Saying tOSU didn't show up isn't a cop-out on our part, it's the result of having watched the games all year and seeing a completely different attitude and level of intensity in the final game. Florida had a very good team, and they put together their best game on the biggest stage. Ohio State had a very good team, and put their worst performance on the table when it counted most. That's the embarrasing part, not losing by 27, but losing because there was no focus or intensity.

Like LSU is favored, TOSU was heavily favored last year. We came out kind of lax and we were expecting a win. Teddy returning the opening kick really killed us. First, because he was injured during the "celebration." Second, it proved to our team that it would be an "easy" win. That's when things started to go wrong. But let's stop living in the past. What's done is done and if I am not mistaken, there is still a game being played to decide the national champion.
