I will be moderating the game thread this evening.

Please remember that we have rules on BP, namely no bashing of the Buckeyes or any member of the team or coaching staff. Violating BP rules could lead to a warning, an infraction, or a ban.

Ohio State has five "recognized" titles - 1942 (AP), 1954 (AP), 1957 (UPI), 1968 (AP & UPI), and 2002 (AP & BCS).

The school also claims titles for 1961 and 1970.

5 AP or UPI (now Coaches) titles. the 1961 title was awarded before the bowl games, which Ohio State did not attend due to the knuckleheads in charge at tOSU. the 1970 title was awarded before the Bowls as well, and the Buckeyes lost the Rose to Stanford.

basically, 5 official, 2 unofficial.
