Game Thread BCS Championship Game, tOSU vs. Florida - Jan 8th

Wow. I have no idea what to say. While I don't think our players did a good job of executing, I think our coaching staff needs to take a long look in the mirror b/c it seems like they've taken things for granted lately, both in preparing for Florida and in the recruiting department.

First and foremost that is the thing we as a fanbase must realize.

Yeah it sucks that Teddy got hurt, but does anyone here really think Ted Ginn was the main problem in this game?

Nope. They scored 41. We didn't have an OLine tonight. Teddy may have helped us a little, but we still would have lost by at least 3 td's. This sucks. Worst feeling I've ever had as a Buckeye fan. Not of disappointment in the troops. It's more frustration. These opportunities are just so rare. Who knows when we'll get back to the National Championship again? This season sure was fun though.

Think about it...i mean "WHO" have we really beat? That's why you tune into college gameday every saturday is for analysis right. Figure it out.

Like i said the past 2 years saturdays have been wonderful but tonight is just what it is, a wake up call. OSU and the BIG10 are not that good.

I suppose youdidn't see the other games the Big ten played the SEC. We were 2-1 this year. Come with some facts or don't come at all...

I hate to say this now, but they didn't look the same coming out of the chute.

God here we go with the fucking SEC speed.....

To a certain extent, you're right.

They looked confident but once Teddy ran that ball back, I think they relaxed a bit.

Florida wasn't going to quit and I think that surprised Ohio State a bit. I think Ohio State thought Florida would struggle to execute on offense.

Devastation?

I can't imagine they'll be anything but devastated at this performance.

I'm hoping they use it to humble themselves and put their nose to the grindstone in the offseason. Next year was going to be rough anyway, with a new QB and possibly losing Ginn, Pittman, and Gonzo. Gotta look at the bright side, there should be no overconfidence issues leading into next season and maybe Pittman and Gonzo will decide to come back afterall.

I was suprised that we didn't try to run the ball early. After Pitts big TD run, I thought for sure we'd try to open up the pass by running it down their throats a little. But the very next drive after the TD run, we threw it 3 times and punted. Obviously lots of other things went wrong especially defensively. But before the game I really thought Pittman was going to have a huge game. Just my 2 cents.
