Was that for the consoles? On consoles the multiplayer was up days before the launch, and there are players that got it early (there were people on Justintv broadcasting games almost a week ahead of time). Most of the big numbers on the consoles are due to that fact. For the PC, the multiplayer was not up until launch and the numbers are not quite as gaudy. Although there are players at level 37 already. Yet some names have multiple players.

Does the matchmaking even out the teams? Or just throw people together?

well it was accessed on a 360, but I guess it could include both sets of data.

Jwins, do you know about the map unlocking stuff(maps, camos, etc for online play) through the store? EA made it to where you get the addones free(code in box) if you buy the game new. I think if you buy the game used you have to pay for the addons. It's weird how EA is taking a shot at gamestop by to put more money in EA's pocket, yet they still had a exclusive unlock through gamestop if you preordered through them.

The "new" maps are kind of a joke. It's just the current maps, but a new mode for the map. In other words, one of the conquest only maps gets a rush mode and one of the rush only maps gets a conquest mode. Pretty stupid. Although as a player who plays Rush 95% of the time it will help mix things up for me.

I am enjoying this game much more than MW2. I like the different multiplayer modes in MW2, but think the online experience is much more fun. Don't know if this is just the new game enjoyment or not, or how long I will continue to enjoy it. But so far so good.

Damn I couldn't get on a team/squad worth a shit tonight. Lost all 5 games I played. The last one I got second place over all went 29/19 (kills/deaths) and got 15 something medals. Most of the kills came from flying around in a choppa and firing the mini gun.
