Yeah. I can't justify dropping $500+ on a new console - another $70 for a controller and 60+ for games. The functionality I can get out of a PC
is making the market more attractive again. Plus, Battlefield looks and plays better on a desktop.

I don't know, I used to be an avid PC gamer, but I can't justify dropping another 1,200+ on a new gaming PC rig and then have to keep dropping another 300 plus every year or so to upgrade the video card and ram to keep it playing the latest games. For me, I can continue to use my 6 year old rig for everyday use (which is far less with tablets now) and then eventually purchase the $400-500 console. Game prices aren't that big between PC/console unless you pirate, which I don't (anymore).

PC gaming is generally more fun (and I'm much better at it), but it's also a dying breed. Plus with kids it's easier to justify a console purchase.

I do agree with this, especially the bolded part. Given Sony's push with indie gamers, this trend will continue over the next few years. However, PC graphics is going to be difficult to top in the consoles arena due to the non-upgradableness (is that even a word...?) of the consoles.

Well i'm having crash issues. I guess since the patch on the 13th they've re-introduced the sound loop crashing issue. Sometimes I can go an hour without crashing (maybe longer) and then other times it's like every few mins. Tried everything from disabling integrated GPU, 3 different drivers for my Radeon 7970, tweaking every graphics setting, and even editing the settings profile file's audio settings that someone posted on BF forums.

Well they updated BF4 yesterday and it appears to have fixed my sound loop crashing issue (now if they'd just fix the integrated gpu problem with accessing Options). I'll be playing with some buddies when I have time. Origin: CJston15 and I believe I posted my TS3 server info up above if anyone wants to hop on.
