Re: modern articles... are you trying to sell your posts as they do magazines?

Little argument? Did you see BuckeyeMike's breakdown? Even if it's just a little argument it's convincing. here
his breakdown left out quite of few stats that didn't suit his argument, coincidence I'm sure.....

  • Career Slugging: Bonds beats Aaron .608 to .555
  • Career On-Base %: Bonds beats Aaron .444 to .374
  • Career OPS: Bonds beats Aaron 1.052 to .929
  • At Bats per HR: Bonds beats Aaron 12.98 to 16.38
  • Runs per Game: Bonds beats Aaron 0.75 to 0.65
  • Steals: Bonds beats Aaron 514 to 240
  • Gold Gloves: Bonds beats Aaron 8 to 3
I respect the hell out of Aaron as a player and person but I think Barry is a better all-round player.

Believe what you wish, I guess, but have fun being in the minority.

It does speak volumes. It shows he is bitter and, in this case lacks class.......
Seriously? There isn't an ounce of class in Bonds, not in his hostile & manipulative whining to the media, not in his clubhouse demeanor, and certainly not in his cheating-driven career... which you seem to think should be celebrated with no reservations.

Bonds does receive an unfair ratio of the steroids hatred. Surely tons others have cheated, especially the pitchers. The fact that others are covered in the dung of cheating doesn't remove the fact that Bonds still stinks.

If Aaron is not interested in rolling around in the dungpile and pretending like it is wonderful, that's certainly his right and perfectly understandable.

OK, we'll play games then....

Lifetime batting average: Aaron .305 Bonds .298
Strike outs: Aaron 1383 Bonds 1531 (in 2,000 less ABs)
Doubles: Aaron 624 Bonds 598
Triples: Aaron 98 Bonds 77
Total Bases: Aaron 6856 Bonds 5929
Hank Aaron Awards won: Bonds 3 Aaron: Zero, but the fucking award is named after him

Calling Aaron a whining little child doesn't sound like "respect" by the way.

Exactly. MLB has to clean up their act and they won't do it with Bonds.

I forgot Bonds unpresidented 7 MVP's too. And I think you proved my point with the part in put in bold for you, the doubles, triples, total bases, etc. goes back to the 2,600 or so less at bats. Barry was feared like no other player. Also I do respect Aaron quite a bit, all the shit he put up with when going for Ruth's record was horrible. I think Aaron handled this situation very poorly(though no where near as poorly as Selig), doesn't mean I don't respect the guy.

Why should he roll in the dung and pretend like it's wonderful?

The game has been forever tainted, and yet you not only want Aaron to condone Bond's behavior and achievement with his attendance... but if he refuses, you reduce him to a spoiled infant. And then you pull a Jeffcat and declare your opinion as truth. I think it is you that has handled this poorly, not Hank.
