He was one of my favorites...I remember I had an opportunity to go the first Survivor Series at the Richfield Coliseum with the cub scouts, and my dad didn't think I wanted to go so he didn't get me a ticket. I think I was like 5 or 6 and I remember crying when I found out I wasn't going. He did get it for me on pay-per-view though. I think the main event was something like Hogan, Bam Bam Bigelow, Mr. Wonderful, and Don The Rock Moraco vs. Andre the Giant, King Kong Bundy, One Man Gang, and Ravishing Rick Rude. All I remember is Hogan getting screwed and Bam Bam almost pulling it out, only to get beaten by Andre.

He was always a bit odd, and seemed to have a lot of personal problems. The death is unfortunate, but not all that surprising. Sadly he never got over or past the Lawrence Taylor incident.

What was the Lawrence Taylor incident?

He had a match with Lawrence Taylor at a PPV...the company told him to drop the match with the promise he would be "rewarded" by making him look good and with a future victory over Taylor...well neither one happened, and he was bitter about it the rest of his life (and he took a lot of crap for losing to LT as well).

Probally not current drug use , but probally years of hard living on the body. He was 45 and had retired years ago.

The last I'd heard his name was with his mixed martial arts fight against Kimo. I thought that was only a few years ago, but turns out it was back in 1996. Bam Bam didn't fare too well in real wrestling.
