How's that minor league football league going in the spring?

Touche, I guess my perspective is pretty nihilistic and pessimistic in that I see that it’s going to end up killing itself regardless of this situation or not with the other dozen or so circumstances and changes that are causing the sport to go off the rails.

I can't stand this defeatist, apathetic mindset and it's so prevalent in society. "This shit already sucks and is fraught with corruption and greed, so why not let it degrade even further". Maybe we start chipping away at making positive changes to the system instead?

This was never the intention of NIL and it’s bull shit. They win every court lawsuit, they get every opportunity, and the answer is never No.

False. NIL came about because the players, like every American, have property rights. In this case, control over the use of the Name Image and Likeness. If you want to use it, you have to pay them.

Sure there were dozens of decades the opposite was true but two wrongs don’t make it right either.

Again, not the case. There is no new "wrong". There is just the SCOTUS telling college football you have been violating the actual rules for a very long time and now its over.

The structure should be somewhere between the old system and this new Wild West.

Find a way to do that without inhibiting the ability of an American worker to earn or change jobs and all would be kosher.

Steven Godfrey, Alex Kirschner, Spencer Hall, the former Deadspin writers...all demanded these freedoms for player "justice" and because coaches could jump around to new jobs.

Now look at the sport.
