B1G MBT, #10 Ohio State vs #15 Iowa, Wednesday, 12 March @ ≈ 6 PM ET, Peacock

Says something about the other options. For this team to improve next season, there’s gonna need to be some roster turnover in the front court.
Wholesale changes. This team needs wholesale changes. But the sticking point is they have to be for kids who want to be here and want to work hard and improve (and of course have the talent to be able to play). We've struggled mightily in finding the right blend of players - this team, we just had one big time player in Bruce Thornton, a pretty good (albeit young) sidekick in Mobley, a couple good contributors in Royal & Parrish, and not much else. They need to go back to the drawing board and find guys who are going to be able to perform at a high level, particularly at the 5 position & PG, and the overall talent level needs to be higher.

The AD saying that this season is "meeting expectations" sure is comforting, guess that just confirms how the Athletic Department actually sees the basketball program. 10th place conference finish and the NIT is meeting expectations, very low expectations.

Exactly, I mean, I don't expect next season to be any better under Jake Diebler.

I expect next season to be worse if anything. People will still make excuses for Diebler though and want to give him a 3rd season. The Athletic Department is gonna be in no hurry to make a move, Diebler is a lame duck but he's cheap and they can just keep proclaiming success because of the football program alone.
