Did any of you football geniuses watch the Northwestern vs Sparty game? Someone give me the takeaways from that hot mess because it still blows my mind that the Sparty team we played could beat anyone. Edit...looks like NW turnovers were the biggest culprit....

Northwestern coach backs decision to put Ohio State in Big Ten title game

Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald said he supported the decision to move No. 4 Ohio State into next week's Big Ten title game against his team, which he expects won't be given much of a chance to win.

"I'm sure we're going to be underdogs by like 70," Fitzgerald joked following No. 14 Northwestern's 28-10 win over Illinois on Saturday.

I watched Michigan State lose their lead to Penn State today in the 2nd half. How does anyone on that defense have a scholarship to play football? They thought they were playing 2-hand-touch, or something, except on that punt return they didn't want to even touch Penn State. They had chances to tackle on all of these big plays, and made really lame attempts to tackle. I don't know how Sparty would beat a team of 6th-graders. It was that bad.

Since Northwestern played 6-7 other games, and won something like 5-6 of them, I'll assume that aliens replaced either today's Sparty team or the one that played Northwestern. Cripes. If I were a Penn State fan, I'd think my team could beat Bama now.
