B1G CCG: THE Ohio State University vs NW’ern: Sat, Dec. 19 in Indianapolis, Noon on Fox

I would have preferred to be in Primetime with a chance to make the last impression/statement. If UF wins and Clemson wins a close one, it won't take an OSU vs. Wisky type CCG beatdown where they jumped from 6 to 4, but I do think it would take something comparable.

I know Buckeye fans don't want to hear this bc they feel if we are undefeated there is no way we get passed up. But the truth is, they could get left out even at 6-0.

If UF wins
OK, Buckeyeplanet. We apparently need to have a discussion about how football works. Alabama is not going to fucking lose to Florida. Why am I seeing this posited everywhere? If you have set things aside so you can watch this game, make sure you have something that you can do after you get bored of the beatdown. I'm not saying this because Bama winning helps Ohio State.......I'm saying it because watching people be wrong physically pains me. Stop being wrong.

Ohio State opens as a 20-point favorite over Northwestern in the Dec. 19 showdown, with the game total set at 59.5, on Betonline.ag.

Just sayin': It basically calculates out to a 40-20 Buckeye win......8D

Am I wrong to think that's easy money? I haven't seen much of Northwestern play, but the feeling I get is Indiana with a little better defense and a much worse offense.

Northwestern's QB is even the guy who would have been Indiana's 2 string QB had he not transferred. Peyton Ramsey wasn't going to beat out
Michael Penix so he transferred.

Factor in the bump our opponents magically find week to week where they play way above their heads.

Usually it was most evident just in the 2nd half though......:roll1:

The Buckeyes couldn’t control the fact that they had so many games canceled, nor the fact that the Big Ten wouldn’t allow them to schedule replacement games against non-conference opponents. They reportedly did contact other schools, including Ohio University, about potentially playing this week, though that ultimately didn’t pan out.

But it was clear all along that Day and the Buckeyes wanted to play as many games as they possibly could, that they thought the cons of unexpected off weeks outweighed the pros. There were other reasons for that – the fact that playing only five games would have made them ineligible for the Big Ten Championship Game before the rules were changed, the fact that their playoff hopes could be more secure right now if they had played more games and simply just wanting their players to get as many games as possible after sacrificing so much for the chance to play – but one reason was that they wouldn’t have as many opportunities to develop and improve without those games.

Will that end up hurting the Buckeyes now that they have to be ready to play at a championship level in every game from here on out? Either way, we’re about to find out, as no tune-up games remain.

Guy's hatred struck me as that of an embittered ex-player from their 0-fer streak. Some former 170 pound linebacker who still has the scars from Vaughn Broadnax's cleats burned into his chest.

Yeah, homie definitely carries a grudge. I can't speak to his sanity but I admire his capacity to hate.
