Rivals $ - Walker visits USC, and hosts USC

1/20

Recaps his visit to USC...Coach Orgeron followed that up with a visit with Aundrey and his family...talks about what type of coaching staff he is looking for...distance isn't a factor.

Not worried at all...

Very considerate of you to add the final thought. I can't seem to forget the second half of the Sugar Bowl. We take the opening kick off, and pick up two quick first downs. After that, for almost two quarters, it was run the ball in between the tackles on every first down, on every second, some third downs, and I believe even one fourth down. We only attempted 5 passes after that, none off of play action.

In order to do that, you have to control (dominate) the line of scrimmage.
Based on what I've read so far about Aundrey, he has the potential to be to be an All American lineman. He could be the anchor of an offensive line
that makes Tressell ball less "dramatic".

Aundrey Walker has two visits left
January, 21, 2011
By Jamie Newberg

One of this year's jumbo prospects, OT Aundrey Walker (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville), tips the scales at 6-foot-6, 340 pounds and he's down to five schools with two visits remaining.

"I will visit Florida State this weekend and then Penn State," Walker said. "Then I will figure it out and make my decision on national signing day."

Walker does have three visits in the books -- Ohio State and Michigan State in December and to USC last week.

"[Michigan State's] a great school with great academics and football," Walker said. "Michigan State was the first to offer me and the very first school to call me. I love those coaches and I love the characteristics of that program. They love me for who I am and I love them. Michigan State has done a great job of recruiting me."

While the Spartans were first to throw their hat in the ring, many feel the Glenville High School product will end up at Ohio State due to the pipeline from Glenville to Columbus. The pressure is there for Walker and he knows it.

"I hear about Ohio State from everyone," Walker said. "Friends, strangers, spectators, you name it. Everyone wants us to go to Ohio State even though they don't know anything about me. I love Ohio State. It's my home school. They have a great program and every year they play in a great bowl game or for the national championship. The program is outstanding, the alumni are great and they have super academics."

mom moving with him

I know everyone things Aundrey is a lock, but I heard Aundrey in an interview say that his mom would be moving with him (not immediately, but within a year or so). Traveling parents never seems good for tOSU. (or Wisconsin for that matter).

Exhibit A as to why I think there should restrictions on who can post in the Recruiting Forum.
