At age 55 I don't think he is ready to retire and he is probably financially set so he can be choosy about where he goes next. He had a decent record in (arguably) the toughest conference/division (i.e. SEC West) in college football, he should get some offers.

First thing I thought was Gus goes to TX as an "analyst" then he's "in the program" to replace Herman when Herman's buyout/ineptitude hit the cost/benefit sweet spot and Gus has milked Barn.

It's a win-win for marginal coaching.....
