How about about a regional microbrew with imported hops?

Make mine a Russian River Pliny the Elder. Thanks for the burger reco's--definitely something to try next time I'm in Atlanta (a city I really like, by the way). I doubt any of the places you listed have a beer menu that that compares to The Vortex's, though . . . .

I'd love to read a fourth grade social studies textbook from LA. Think you could sneak into a HS and snag one for me?

JCOSU threatening to ban someone. Never thought I'd see the day. :roll1:

Boiling peanuts brings out the legume flavor. How come you never see anyone pulling up to a roadside stand and having a delicious bag of kidney beans? Because that would be fuckin' sick, that's why.

shouldn't we at least wait until the 1st one ends before predicting the next?

This is a very true statement....It is obvious to me living in NC which some folks don't even think is the south that the Civil War is still going on for a lot of folks. I never called a person from the south a southerner, but folks here sure like to call people northerners.

My daughter has been hassled by some folks in Charleston where she goes to school as being a northerner and this is by kids in their late teens, early 20's. To me that means they have learned it from others growing up.

I always heard, "Damn Yankee!". Never really caught wind of "northerner". Oh well.

When I was at UNC, we went out into the countryside for a Sunday drive and ended up on a property where the Confederate leaders met for the last time before surrender, or something like that. There was an old lady there who was the grandaughter of one of the leaders who had owned the farm and made her living by have a museum of old cigarette advertisements in the main house as a museum.

When we walked up on the front porch to enter the building, the lady asked us where we were from. After a brief vetting process, the lady asked if we realized that Yankees had been on the property. For her, the war was still being fought.

I too have wondered this. Having heard that this has become an increasingly rare an endangered species, I can't wait for BigWoof to tap his vast pool of knowledge to enlighten us on this most important question.

Georgia Bigfoot: Official Bigfoot Press Release From Tom Biscardi

True storie here. One of the guys in that storie, Rick Dyer, used to be in the Army. I have a buddy who was his squad leader. His middle name is "Trailor Truck". I am not kidding. That is his real name given to him at birth.
