is all of you priests, and are any of you under 50 years old?
This is the most ignorant statement I have read on this thread...

I am 21 years old. Want to know why I don't smoke pot? Because I'd rather stay out of jail, and not have to write it down on my job applications when I get out.

I've seen people lose their jobs because they didn't disclose things such as this.

Lloyd what part of DE-CRIMINALIZED are you having a hard time understanding???? Is it the multiple syllables? The hyphen? The legal jargon???

21, fire does not make you laugh and have the munchies. :wink2:

First off.. if you read the quote of the person I was replying to.. no where does it say anywhere "De-Criminalized".. so I guess I must have had a problem seeing a word that did NOT exist... that's called reading.

Seriously... read before you post.

when was weed decriminalized?

"While Canadians debate over a proposal to decriminalize small amounts of cannabis in their country – much to the chagrin of U.S. officials – the state of Ohio did it in the 1980s. In Ohio, possession of less than 100 grams of marijuana is a minor misdemeanor, the equivalent of a speeding ticket, and punishable by a $100 fine.

There is no jail time.”

Lloyd, you DID say go to jail. Learn the rules before you mouth off.

BTW, I am NOT saying the rule is right or wrong. It is just the rule.

that isn't de-criminalized... it is still a crime, and punishable by arrest and a $100 fine obviously.

However, that is only for a first offense.

It is not an arrestable offence in the same way that a speeding ticket is not an arrestable offence. It is appear in court or pay the fine. End of story.

Yes that is correct, for a first time offence. I guess that you were trying to cloud the issue to make yourself look right? Nice try.

Actually, that is the definition of "decriminalize"...
A criminal Penalty is not a ticket, thats just like a speeding violation.

de·crim·i·nal·ize (dē-krĭm'ə-nə-līz')

tr.v., -ized, -iz·ing, -iz·es.
To reduce or abolish criminal penalties for: decriminalize the use of marijuana.

As long as they are still technically arrested, it is not decriminalized.

I guess that's why Erik Haw was placed under arrest at 7:18, but then released at 7:46 by the officer.....
Read the report on BII, Haw was never placed under arrest...the time is probably the entire time of the situation from when he approached Haw to when he issued the summons.
