The service academies haven't been good since WW2, I honestly don't see why they compete at IA anymore

Just a minor correction. I believe Navy was still good into the 1960s and Air Force is competitive most years in the MWC....

I believe the size of their schools makes them Division 1A

Interesting tid-bit

The service schools don't have to follow scholarship limits set by the NCAA.

For example, normal schools are only allowed to give out 85 athletic scholies for football. The service schools don't have to follow those rules, because every student at the service academies has their education paid in full.

Because certain nimrods on this board keep dogging ND for playing the acadamies whuile it is ok for OSU to play Ohio MAC schools ! DUH!

Besides it's not like OSU plays a tougher schedule! PLEASE!

Northern Illinois and Cincinnati would spank Army and Navy, and likely beat Air Force. Besides, we're mandated by the state to play at least one in-state school a year. You schedule patsies just for the fuck of it...
