Im wrong - it's late November. So the Srs know what community they're going to.
It's ship selection (for SWOs, who make up the largest community) that happens in February / March.

If they're open to a Thanksgiving time slot, I think that would be an awesome tradition. Give them a standalone kickoff at noon, have that on during the day and getting ready, I'd be a fan.

He mentions Thanksgiving or even Black Friday in the article

"Give us a four-hour block on Thanksgiving, or on Friday of Thanksgiving, or on Saturday of Thanksgiving, and give us a four-hour block, and just say nobody else plays during this four-hour block. That's still protecting the game."

I have misplaced my pants.
I'd be just as likely to watch it Thanksgiving weekend (as long as it isn't noon on Saturday) as I would any other time.
I like the tradition of the Army-Navy game, but it really isn't big on my mind. Put it Thursday, and I'm probably watching the NFL games. Put it on Friday, and yeah, maybe. Saturday after The Game, and yeah, maybe. Put it any other weekend, and yeah, I might watch it.
