There was a time several years ago where the outcome of this game could have affected the SOS of one of the playoff contenders, and made a difference in the computer rankings that went into the BCS formula.

I don’t remember the year, but I think they just ignored the possibility because they had to get the bowl games slotted on schedule for travel plans, selling tickets, etc.

I have no military ties so who I pull for in this game varies depending on circumstances.

Army has a chance to win their 10th CIC, so it's go Army this year.
