Arkansas State @ tOSU, Sat Sep 10, Noon ET on BTN

Yup tackling would've cut ArkSt's yardage down by half. Not sure what to make of the offense. Just doesn't look right at all.

It looks great and then suddenly sputters and gets in 3rd and long. After the Rose Bowl I, and most of us, expected WRs to be interchangeable. But JSN is another level, and you can tell it really hurts the consistency of the short and intermediate passing game. Once he comes back it should open up a lot of mismatches and short passing plays that keep the chains moving.

Only thing I'm worried about with he defense is depth. Feels like most of ArkSt's yardage has come when the backups were in. They were doing nothing when the starters were in. CBs I guess is also a slight concern with the missed tackles but this could just be a lack of focus and not a regular occurrence.

Offense is concerning me a lot more right now tbh. Just no flow to it at all.

Seems like a good time to get the backups some work then. Someone will get injured at some point and we'll need them.

Offensively, I know we have several highly recruited receivers but JSN is Stroud's security blanket. It's not going to look the same without him.

Offense just looks weird to me. The backs are averaging 8 yards per carry yet we aren't running the ball. It's a running saying right now of "we need to get back to running the ball" or "we need to establish the run". This happens a lot and it's confusing how this occurs so frequently.

Secondary is having a rough day today and the DL wasn't getting home for most of the 1st half (improved late).

Lots of teaching moments for this game that's for sure!
