... and gave up fewer points by far in week 1 than they gave up in any game last year
This is a meeting of two vastly improved defenses.
I wonder which is better...

Interested to see James Blackman at QB for ASU....this is his 6th year...so if nothing else, he's certainly experienced.
But he's 6'5, maybe 190 after Thanksgiving dinner, and is not a runner at all so it's at least a nice change of pace for the D to try some other looks. I'm actually a bit worried for him because the left side of their line is very young and Mike Hall and the boys are gonna eat.
We're going to see quite a few of the young guys in the 2nd half, I have a feeling we'll get our first taste of Styles and he's going to get more and more run as the year goes on.

No doubt and I love that we didn't rotate in the back end at all. Shocked Williams didn't play but maybe he was dealing with something?

Not so sure about that. Ransom probably played the best game on D outside of Hall and Eichenberg. Knowles does not rotate DBs much and won't put up with missed tackles.
