Arkansas +13.5 at LSU (ov/un 52.5) Fri 2:30 ET, CBS

Apparently Petrino is a bit of a sore loser...there's video of him saying some, um, unkind things to the Hatter from across the field in the 4th quarter, and this is their short handshake after the game...

Sounds like Les says "you got a good team, Bobby" or something to that effect as Petrino is slinking away. Love that the coach who quit on his team with a letter is getting pissy about losing. :roll1:

I'm with Jake, after dominating Oregon they've never looked back. I'm just praying by miracle that Mathieu somehow slips low enough for the Bengals to draft. Dude is superman. Or Claiborne. Or anybody on that defense. Week in and week out that defense brings it and they are just freak athletes at every position. Only team that can give them a legit shot is Bama imo...although I am pulling for Stanford (who wants to see SEC vs. SEC in the title game [shut up Woof and UBet, you don't count])?

I wouldn't be happy if I lost like that either. Especially after Les went after those 'style points.'

Should've been competitive then. You're #3 in the nation - you shouldn't get the shit kicked out of you. Don't get pissed at the coach who beat you, get pissed at yourself.

Except they really weren't #3. Arkansas' best wins were South Carolina (ok) and Texas A&M (yeah right). The rest of the wins were against inferior OOC teams, SEC East teams and the west bottom dwellars.

The two times Arkansas played quality opponents they got beat like a drum.

Bingo. And Petrino's one of the least likable coaches around.

You'll never hear me complain about someone running up the score. Steve Spurrier is correct, it is our responsibility to stop the other team.

Credit to LSU. They are a fantastic football team. They have dominated and humiliated many of their opponents this year.

Les Miles has kept this team together amid a crazy amount of off-the-field issues. He would get my vote for SEC Coach of the Year for that.

But since Itchy is such an ungracious winner, like so many LSU fans, I am compelled to point out a couple of things.

Last year in Little Rock vs LSU, Arkansas had a first down at the one yard line with less than a minute to go after sacking and recovering a Jordan Jefferson fumble.

Arkansas took a knee instead of punching it in to make an 8 point win a 15 point win.

In the Miss State game, our second and third team were playing most of the fourth quarter and our backup QB attempted only one pass.

Pretty much the same thing during the 49-7 win over Tennessee the week before. Backups, 1 pass attempt, etc.

I'll also note that Arkansas had a player die unexpectedly this week. He didn't OD on drugs, he wasn't shot in a robbery and he didn't die because he was acting a fool in a car.

He was a clean-living kid, beloved by all who knew him, and died due to an undetected heart condition. Despite Bobby Petrino's protestations to the contrary, that was an emotionally fragile team Friday.

So, yeah, fuck Les Miles and his gang of marine-stomping, dope-smoking thugs, and fuck the coonass team and fans who don't know how to win with grace and dignity.

In hindsight, Arkansas might not have deserved the #3 ranking they took into the LSU game, but before the weekend started it would have been hard to make a case for anyone else.

Arkansas had lost one game on the road to the #3 team in the country at that point, and had beaten 3 teams ranked in the top twenty five. Oklahoma State has some nice wins against quality opponents, but that loss to an unranked Iowa State team at home was worse than losing to the #3 team on the road.

The Razorbacks are 20-5 over the past two years. The losses came to #1 Alabama, #7 Auburn, #6 OSU, #3 Alabama and #1 LSU. The Hogs haven't lost to an unranked team since October 24, 2009.

Over that same period, the Hogs made their first BCS appearance last year, and were one game away from a BCS-CG appearance this year.

In each of those 5 losses, the Razorbacks were in the game until at least the 4th quarter.

Losing to the #1 and the #3 teams in the country this year show how far the Hogs have to go to get over the hump, but it's not as far as you might think. A couple of stud defensive players (I'd take a new DC at this point) and a lucky bounce or two, and the Razorbacks are playing for the big prizes.

I know most of you guys hate Bobby Petrino, and that's OK. It only helps to insure that we'll have Bobby Petrino as head coach for a long, long time.

But I would think that a fanbase that has has so much agenda-driven misinformation, uninformed judgements and over-the-top hyperbole flung at them by the national sports media, would think twice about swallowing what that same agenda-driven sports media has flung at them about Bobby Petrino.

The narrative that the ESPNs of the world have force fed you is not the truth, or the reality about Bobby Petrino.
