Apple Software & Mac Hardware news

Steve Wozniak just sent me this hilarious screenshot, from the wife of one of his friends. It's from the Genius Recommendations in the movie section of the iTunes Store: If you bought the PBS documentary Steve Jobs: One Last Thing you will like Hitler: A Career.
His comment in the mail: "Someone at Apple has a sense of humor." Truth. I laughed out loud. Thank you, Woz!

Update: No, this is not an April Fools Day joke. It's real, and it was found by Woz's friend Alex Fielding:

Doesn't mean they'll do it, it just means they can sue anyone else that tries. Everyone is a patent troll these days.

The Patent Wars have been going on for so long that you start to forget why we're here. Who shot first?Apple? Samsung? Greedo? Paul M. Barrett at Businessweek has a great rundown on how we got here, and why everything stems back to Apple's crusade against Android.

Steve Jobs' "thermonuclear" resolve against Android is well known by now. It also makes sense, considering how much the Android conflict reminds Apple of another war it waged several decades ago. One it lost, badly:

WWDC kicks off today, with the keynote coming at 1PM Eastern.

Here is Engadget's live blog:

iOS 6 is definitely in the offing, but beyond that who knows? I for one am not expecting an iPhone 5 announcement. I think they're going to stick with the new fall release cycle they've established, and announcing it now would be a little too soon. We shall see though.

Yup. I'm there with you. Can't wait to see what iOS 6 has in store for us.

I'm available for an upgrade, have a 3Gs, and I don't know how much longer I can wait. If 4s gets the same features (in the OS) as the 5, I might just upgrade now
