I think I may have found my new "laptop" now I just need to decide if I want the 3g or regular version. I think if you already have an iphone you should be able to use it's wireless service with the ipad.

Agreed dryden, that's pretty slick. Hopefully they'll come out with a CF card adapter, even if it's 3rd party.
Did they say whether a data plan was required? Or could you just use it via wi-fi if you wanted?

3G pricing is contract free and unlocked, so there is speculation that you could take it to t-mobile, especially if they offered a cheaper plan.

Let me be the first one on BP to crap on this thing.
It looks pretty slick, but for me at least it's not useful at all. Reminds me of a Homer Simpson quote, where he said he would breed the pets to get an animal with the loyalty of a cat and the cleanliness of a dog.
For me it has almost all of the limitations of a mobile device, with only slightly more portability than my laptop.
I might eventually come around to it, but I can't imagine it taking the place of any devices that I currently use. It's an extra toy.
