Anyone capable of discussing gas without politics? Anyone?

Cost of gas is higher in areas that are furthest away from refineries. The cost of fuel in Alaska near the pipeline is almost $5.00 a gallon (they pipe it there but don't refine) The cost in areas like Toledo where there's a BP, Marathon and Sun oil refinery within 50 miles its 3.79 today. The cost in resort areas in upper Michigan is also high. Hawaii is another example of a remote area with no refineries and high prices. Missouri has some of the lowest prices - I don't know why. The oil companies could make it all the same price everywhere, and still rape the consumer.

down to 3.63 a gallon. its literally dropped 50 cents in 3 weeks. so what? they find a massive amount of refined gasoline under rosie odonell's left ass cheek? not to look a gift horse in the mouth. but beyond the fact that the 4th has come and gone, whats the explaination for the change in gas prices?

a guy i work with was mocking the whole, hey were gonna drill offshore. after his rant he suggested we actually pull a rig out offshore and see how much lower it goes...

some of this is also tied to the dollar.

$4.289/gal on I-90 in New York over the weekend. I'm glad I had enough fuel to make it back into Ohio to get it for $3.599.

Still cheaper than Canada. With the currency exchange, it was $4.78/gal up there.

We just paid $3.539 in Washington Court House. We were ready to dance around the truck!!

What form of dance? Modern, Jazz, hip hop, or was it some tribal dance dedicated to the oil god - Tobeatusup? I was happy last week when Kroger gas with the discount went to $3.35. I did the little dance too.
