What pisses me off more than the price of gas these days is that nearly every gas station is now pre-pay for the gas. If you are using credit/debit cards to pay for gas, then I'm sure that it is no biggie for you. But, I like to pay cash. I hate having to guesstimate the amount of gas that my tank will take to fill up. You either end up driving away with 3/4 tank of gas, or having to go back in and get change. They say that they have had to go to the "pre-pay" policy because gas prices have spiked the number of "drive-offs", but these same stations also have video cameras at the pumps.

Filled up earlier this week (yesterday in fact) at 2.61 & 9/10ths.

The very next day - prices at the same pump, and others around the region are between 2.86 -- 2.89. So my guess is the memorial day weekend 8% windfall has already kicked in.
