Any records you'd like to see fall this year or beyond?

Well with no bowls I'm just looking to add as much fun to this season as possible. 3 Individual Buckeye records I'd love to see fall for completely different reasons are...

PASSING (SG) Art Schlichter 458 (Florida State 1981) for obvious reasons.

SACKS season Vernon Gholston 14 (2007) Just to see our defense getting after it.

INTERCEPTIONS season Mike Sensibaugh - 9 (1969) being born in 69 I obviously never got to see it.

As far as a team stat I'd like to see

Tackles for loss - 117 total, 492 yds, 2000. again to see our defense getting after it.

Well that's just a few I'd like to hear yours they don't have to be tOSU records they can be national ones as well. Just as long as they are Buckeyes getting them.:osu:

I want to see a team win the AP national championship, and yet not be eligible for the BCS national championship. Or for any other bowl or post-season game. Just 2012, though.

I'd like to see the passing record fall. Or at least challenged. I'd like 3,000 yards passing to be a standard at Ohio State under Urban Meyer.

Seeing as tOSU has seen only 2 of those types of seasons ever, I know its an uphill battle.

I guess that there are two ways to answer this rather absurd question:

(1) I want to see every Ohio State single game and single season record fall, because that will mean that the Buckeyes had an excellent season in 2012.

(2) The only record that I care about is the team's record at the end of the season, and if it's 12-0 then I'll be happy.

I'll go with #2 for now....

Well, that and it's a running offense.

Are you saying there's a chance?

Of?

I'm guessing 3K passing is in the upper range of what we'll see. If we see, say 4K, it's either because we have a REALLY good QB and we've gone to pass first or else the run game just isn't working... and that's not good. (This is based on what I percieve to be Meyer's offensive philosophy in the past, things can change, obviously)

Definitely true. I'd also like to add however, that OC Herman wants to get to 70 snaps a game, so even though its run heavy with a 42/58 pass/run split, I hope to see the days of 10 or less passing attempts go extinct.

I'm saying there's a chance. :)
