I've only seen one in person but didn't play it. I didn't like the top on the one I saw so there was no point in playing it. But from some of the pics I've seen around the internet, this guitar can come with a very nice AAA figured top. It's going to take a while to actually find one of these with a top I like so I'm not expecting anything to happen very soon. That's Ok though, the search is half the fun anyway...

You can get a Martin DM off of eBay in that range. I've seen them anywhere from $500 - $800. They normally list at $900 - $1100 in specialty stores.
